H2O expert impressed
I owned a successful marine aquarium service company for 15+ years and have been a reef tank hobbiest for more than 30 years. I know a lot about water quality, both for my reef tank water changes, and for my daily drinking water. I manufacture my aquarium water using RODI technology (reverse osmosis deionization), the only practical method for producing lab grade water with 0.0 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). This takes constant digital testing of both my input city water and the output water after my filter. I am sure I have bored you to sleep but please WAKE Up. (In case you wonder why I don't simply drink the water from my RODI filter, one would need to add minerals back to it first before it would be safe to consume on any type of regular basis.) Now you know why I wanted a separate, dedicated Reverse Osmosis drinking water system for my family. After I Installed the Waterdrop Tankless Reverse Osmosis unit, (a very straight forward task that honestly should take the average person about 1/3rd the time of an old technology RO filter with pressurized water tank for drinking water), I was shocked to test the output water at the included metal faucet at a low TDS of just 3 PPM. My city water entering the Tankless system is currently at 140ppm. The fact that the Waterdrop system improves the water quality to only 3ppm without the use of dionization is AMAZING. Also, I turn on the filter and immediately test the water, thus there is no wait time required to let the water run before it is ready to drink. I have had my Tankless system running for months and it is rock solid at 3ppm. It is clean, delicious drinking water from an attractive, compact unit. I could not be more pleased.I also want to speak to the customer service I experienced. Unfortunately, after about 2 months of use, the 400GPD system would not turn on. I was really surprised when this occurred and emailed Waterdrop support without delay. Although I was well past the Amazon 30 day return period, the representative clearly cared about customer satisfaction and shipped me out a new, complete upgraded 600 GPD unit and a return postage paid shipping label for my original 400 GPD unit. He also sent me a free extra filter cartridge for the inconvenience I had experienced. I have had this replacement unit running for months without any issues. I would give Waterdrop 10 stars if it was allowed. Thanks for reading my lengthy, but honest review. Please buy a Waterdrop Tankless Reverse Osmosis filter, you will not be sorry you did!

Tastes better than bottled water
The water tastes great and has reduced our spending on bottled water. It's a little louder than I expected, but not a deal breaker by any means. Installation was easy. Water flow is good, but patience is required if you want to fill a pot. On the flip side, you can fill a pot! There's no downtime while it processes.

Fantastic workhorse of a water purifier
I've been using this for about 4 months and I have to say it is a LIFE SAVER! We live in super low humidity and I was using 3 humidifiers 24/7 and there was this fine white dust EVERYWHERE. It took me about 6 months to figure out what was going on. Obviously buying distilled water for 3 6-gallon humidifiers would be prohibitively expensive. I bought this unit for one of our sinks and a different unit for another sink. I have to say I really like this one a ton better. The other unit utilizes a pressure tank so you can only get a little over a gallon every 30 minutes or so. Not a big deal if you are only drinking, but THIS unit is powered by a pump and you can fill up a humidifier in no time.I keep waiting for the "change filter" lights to go on, but they haven't. I am wondering if the fact that we had power cut offs in the last 4 months has somehow re-set the filter? It's hard to believe it is still functional with the amount of water we've used, but then there is no white dust coming from the humidifiers so I'm assuming it is still chugging away. This is well worth the money. I had a plumber set it up just because I didn't want to mess with it myself, but I can see how it would be a straight forward install for a handy person. Just make sure you have a plug in nearby as the unit does require electricity.Definitely recommend and would buy again!

Small footprint, great taste, simple setup (update)
Update - at two year mark now and unit has been reliable and leak free. I measured a ~20% flow rate recovery after changing the membrane and filter so I did confirm that the unit was slowing down a noticeable amount. Continued to be pleased with investment and overall system performance. Filter changes are timely before taste deteriorates - still, you’ll notice a taste improvement after each filter swap.So far so good! After the specific hookups required for the existing connections (faucet and ice maker), the setup of the Waterdrop system was a breeze. The filter automatically tells you when the flushing is done so no guessing if you have cleared the system out or not.Filling is a little different for previous experience on a tank system. There’s a short pause while the pump kicks on and the flow is slower. Not really a problem if you’re just getting a glass of water, but filling the coffee pot does take longer (I can set up the filter and grounds while filling the pot).Based on other reviews, I have been closely monitoring for leaks. Only real issue has been the connection points to the existing system, and that is more on me than Waterdrop. But just in case, I have ordered a under sink mat to prevent wood damage from small leaks.Time will tell how long these filter and RO cartridges last, but the simple maintenance was a selling point for me.Water quality is great and as expected from a RO system. The small footprint under the sink is opening up more space than I was expecting.
