Skechers Mens Max Cushioning Elite Performance Walking & Running Shoe

I hope these would last!
I wear size 10 in most athletic shoes but Skechers I always get a half size smaller (9.5). This particular model is a comfortably snug fit for my feet. I also have a brand new Adidas Ultraboost and they are twice as expensive, but I must say these Skechers are comparable in terms of comfort, fit, and feel. I can't say about the performance and durability just yet, but in my experience with many Skechers I owned and wore, that is where my disappointment is. They perform extremely well in the beginning but as they wear out, they wear out in short period of time and don't give you the all around support that you could bet your life on. Also, the back of the shoes (plastic) always tears through inside my shoes and basically lets you know that the support is there but is minimal, just enough to give you that fine quality feel and finish at the beginning. But that's what you pay for. affordable, nice looking shoes for quick and immediate gratification only to be replaced soon. I don't mind. These shoes never give me the anxiety of getting dirty, ruined, etc. I feel free and wear them without care. These are My current favorite shoes as all my other Skechers have been in the beginning till they reveal the cutting corners of the product. If price keep going up for how cheap they are made, I will stop buying them. For now, nothing beats Skechers in knock offs that give you the feel of really well engineered shoes, while they last awhile. Maybe I will buy a second pair if they become exceptional in terms of support and durability. Bottomline, I am very happy with these shoes NOW. (I actually bought two and gave one to a friend as a gift).

Best value 4E (or extra wide) maximalist running shoe available as of this review
So I've tried a few different maximalist running shoes (NB Fresh Foam MORE v1 and v2, NB Fresh Foam MORE Trail) now. Which is difficult to do since there are so very few out there that come in 4E/extra wide width. This one is very similar in terms of cushioning and overall comfort to the NB Fresh Foam MORE v2 (which is somewhat stiffer than the v1 Fresh Foam MORE but still VERY good) but costs a whole lot less. Construction quality and type ("knit" upper bonded to a super thick foam lower) seems very similar and is holding up fine after a week of hard use. Unlike the v1 or v2 FF MORE though this has some bits of harder rubber strategically placed on the bottom to mitigate the severe wear issues those 2 shoes have. The lower can still wear fairly fast but it does seem to be making a real difference.I still took a star off because they didn't just put the hard rubber all over the bottom in a thin layer to protect the whole thing like they should've. It won't add that much weight or cost Sketcher's!Both the v1 and v2 FF MORE are known to get cheese gratered lowers just by walking around in them on the road after a couple of weeks! For shoes that typically go over $100 in my size that is flat out unacceptable!!!! Doubly so when you consider that NB says the FF MORE v1, v2, and v3 are only supposed to last about 6 months and then be replaced.NB does seem to have fixed the lower durability issues that have plagued the MORE line with the v3 BUT its stupid expensive. Over $160 in my size at the time of this review! No way am I gonna pay that. This shoe was about $85 in my size at the time of this review. The price does fluctuate a fair amount though. Also the NB FF MORE Trail lower wears quite fast too despite its full rubber covering. The rubber they're using is pretty soft apparently so beware if you're looking for a maximalist trail running shoe!!Other details for this shoe: the "Goga Mat" liner will wear out in about 2-4 months depending on how heavy you are, how much you use these shoes, and how hard you hit the ground when running. Its very noticeable when it happens (I've had other Sketcher's shoes with the same stock insert).Due to its relatively high thickness you can easily replace it with another pretty thick insert and get back all that lost comfort. If anything with a good new liner you can make this shoe feel even better than new!

Wow, these are nice! Finally enough foam and not $200!!
I have worn Sketchers for a long time. I don't always wear them but I have never bought a pair I didn't feel was comfortable and well made no matter the cost. These are very impressive for the cost. I have had Hooka and I was not impressed. They were comfortable but the rubber parts on the sole started to peel off the shoe in just a few months. Did I mention the Hooka's were very expensive even on sale!! These for under $70 are better than any other shoe I have worn in this type of category. I have had many fresh foam shoes and in fact New Balance fresh foams are my other go to and these are superior. The only issue I can see is stability because of so much foam your foot can feel out of balance in certain positions but that is an issue with any shoe with this much foam. As far as comfort as soon as I put these on I was in love. So comfortable. The materials seems durable and well made. The skin of the shoe is breathable. There is really nothing but good things to say. Quality materials and design, good construction equal an awesome shoe.If you want a comfortable shoe and don't want to overpay these are about as good as it is going to get!! Seriously these are amazing!!
