Unsolved Mysteries of the Old West

I loved this book. Very interesting and exciting.

the author does a good job of presenting the facts and trying to avoid leading the reader to certain conclusion.

like the book involving a lot of western figures, some quite famous, whose mysterious deaths were never solved. some just disappeared.

If you're an avid fan of The Old West you will no doubt love this book. For those of us with an average interest it was disappointing. While it did fill in some blanks for the mostly outlaws and infamous mines everyone knows, I did appreciate that. Even more so, I enjoyed reading about the lesser known outlaws, mines and general characters of the West. But too much of it was filled with boring facts and like so many mystery books left more unanswered questions than answers. Some of the most popular lines were "No one seems to know for certain", "We may never know", "continues to puzzle historians", "the search continues" If you can put up with that, you'll enjoy this. I found it immensely frustrating.

Not a lot of detail!s, but then there aren't a lot of specifics for many of these stories. If there were there would be no reason for a book like this! Fun to read.

Enjoyed the facts as described by MR. Jameson.As always the best stories always seem to be that of conjecture and legends but with the continued questions of "what if"'A very well written book. Thank you for keeping history and legends alive.

I learned all kinds of things about the old west from this book, which I liked so much I bought a second copy for a friend. For example, I never knew that Johnny Ringo's body was found without boots up in a tree. I always heard Wyatt Earp shot him. This book is full of surprises like that. I highly recommend it to Old West students.

My husband is really enjoying this book.
