Perfect Clear Glaze โ Smooth, Glossy Finish Every Time
This clear glaze has been a staple in my pottery work. It fires beautifully and gives such a clean, smooth, glossy finish that really lets the clay body or any underglaze details shine through. It applies evenly and consistently, and Iโve had great results with no cloudiness or unexpected defects. I also love how it enhances textures and carvings without overpowering them. Super reliable and easy to work withโdefinitely a must-have if youโre looking for a quality clear glaze for your pieces!

Beautiful results!
I used this clear gloss glaze with my high school 3-D Art I students, and the results were excellent. We applied it to about 65 ceramic pieces (ranging from 6" to 8"), and every project came out with a smooth, glossy finish that really enhanced the studentsโ work. The glaze applied evenly, fired beautifully, and gave consistent results across all pieces. Itโs a reliable classroom glaze that makes student projects look professional, and my students loved the finished appearance of their art. Iโll definitely continue using this glaze in future classes.

Great Clear Glaze
Has worked perfectly so far. Don't listen to some of the other bad reviews - those are from people who don't know how to use ceramic glazes. This is for low fire pottery. If you properly fire it in a kiln, it'll come out great. Perfectly glossy and smooth with an even finish when you do 3+ coats.

Exactly what I needed
The color was exactly as expected. Easy to apply. I ran out of my other brand for a class and needed a quick option. This worked better then expected and arrived next day. Shine and bright red.

Not what I hoped
Calls for 4 coats. Use 5-6. Not as high gloss as I had Hoped

Isnโt clear! Iโm confused
I wanted to make these plates food safe so planned to paint this glaze on. It looks horrible! Chalky and fortunately washed off even after drying. I remembered to snap this photo just as I started washing the glaze off. Maybe this is for a type of craft I donโt know about

color change
Used gloss glaze, natural clear 229173. A new line of figurines of mother holding children. All have black hair, the glaze made it purplish, also pooled in pockets that are white, nearly opaque. I purchased two 16 oz bottles and while I may use it on other projects, I cannot use it on this one. Why did this happen? Glaze was not applied too heavy, firing was in usual range. Only difference was the brand of glaze. Kathia
