READ CAREFULLY. You will need a hard to find nut to fit a hard to find angle grinder that will go slow enough to be in spec.I’ll try to create a spindle that will fit this pad in my drills to be able to spin at 2500rpm which is 10x slower than most angle grinders.

These did not fit my DWE 402 4.5” angle grinder so I did not get to use them. Seems like it would work relatively well. The plastic center did seem a little flimsy, but the wool seemed decent.

These are much cheaper than the next cheapest option. I was looking at $12/pad for the name-brand stuff, but decided I'd try these. I'm glad I did! They're not as big, tough, or thick as the name-brand 4.5" disk, but they're cheap enough that you can have a bunch and assign each one to a different compound to avoid cross-contamination! When I've burned through the batch I bought, I'll buy more. For the record, I was using these on a Milwaukee adjustable speed 4.5" grinder. They fit over the arbor threads and tighten against the fixed nut, but they do not go over the shoulder on the fixed nut. It was not a problem, but I did have to use a thinner fixed nut on one of the grinders to have enough thread exposed to get the tightening nut on.

I needed to polish some stainless steel work on my sailboat; heavily rusted and pitted. All "hand" methods were abject failures, and I couldn't find quality wool pads for a grinder anywhere else. These pads made very quick work of the job, and a single pad held up for hours of polishing. This is beyond a good deal. I've been giving out the extras to friends.
