GVS SPR491 Elipse ABEK1P3 Dust and Vapour Half Mask Respirator with replaceable and reusable filters included

I have been working with paints, solvents, resins, toxic dusts, you name it....for over 30 years..I have used loads of different masks, including Elipse/GVS, ....The filtration on this mask as supplied is not up to scratch. I bought it for a one off painting job ...simply roller-painting standard B&Q emulsion paint onto my workshop walls, the moment I poured paint into the tray I could smell the odour of the paint the doors and window was open so a fairly low concentration of vapour. I checked the seals etc. after a hour of painting I stopped as I felt as though I was not sufficiently protected by this mask. On paper it should do the job...but it doesn't

Great mask for solvent work. Used for chemical paint stripping and painting. It deals with all the fumes perfectly and is comfortable for long use. Make sure you order the right size and ensure a face seal before exposing yourself to anything harmful.

Sais that it covers fumes from smoke but you can still smell and have a coarse throat after exposure.

I was spraying fungicide in it and haven’t died, so I guess it works fine. The cool grey haircut is not included :(

Brilliant little mask, it is very light compact and worked fine for me while sanding and cutting.I have used this with cutting wood and plastic and both worked fine.I found I can use my prescription glasses while using this mask and still have a nice tight seal around my face.The price is very fair at currently £27 delivered with a prime account.Health and safety is so important you must use personal protective equipment at home for diy as well as for your jobI hope this review has helped if so please click on the helpful buttonThanks
