It worked!
Fixed my son's 1st generation Nintendo 3ds xl. It was sitting the garage for a couple of years as he dropped it years ago and I never got around to fixing it. I saw a you tube video on the fix and it was simple. Note: a buddy of mine told me to fold some electrical tape on the back of the wifi card to thicken the attached padding to secure it in place as this generation wifi card connection was weak and hence why the wifi cards break and malfunction. Also, before buying a new wifi card you can try that trick and see if it fixes the problem and if not, buy a new one.

3DS XL brought back from the dead.
Works exactly has intended. The WiFi card on my 3DS XL had been broken for the last 4 years and this replacement card finally gave it life again.
