Great Wallet - I have been Using This Style for 30 Years
I've been using this particular style of nylon wallet for an impressive 30 years, and it has proven to be a remarkably durable and practical choice. The nylon material is the star of the show, offering incredible resistance to wear and tear. It has withstood the rigors of daily use with barely any noticeable degradation, something few other materials can boast. The design of the wallet is straightforward yet functional, with enough compartments to easily organize cash, cards, and identification. Its slim profile doesn't bulk up in the pocket, making it comfortable to carry around all day. Over the years, it has also managed to retain its color and shape, resisting the common fading many other wallets experience. Whatโs truly impressive is how this wallet has adapted to changing times. Despite the move towards a more digital lifestyle, it remains relevant due to its lightweight, water-resistant nature and robust build. Itโs a testament to good design that after three decades, this wallet still meets all my needs. For anyone looking for a no-frills, durable wallet that will last years, possibly decades, this nylon wallet is an excellent choice. It's a classic that has stood the test of time, combining functionality with durability in a way that modern wallets often overlook. Initially, I did not like the clear ID holder on the exterior, however, I now use that slot for my business card in the event the wallet is lost.

Great wallet
I was introduced to this wallet several years ago by an older ex-miltary co-worker. He gave it to me and said it was the best wallet he had ever found. It sat in a desk drawer for a few years until my regular wallet became unusable so I switched over to the Commando wallet. Since then, I have become a convert to this little inexpensive wallet. The wallet is a good size to fit in either a front or rear pocket but is still much lighter than a similar leather wallet. The nylon exterior wears like iron. There are two interior pockets for credit cards, drivers license, insurance cards, business cards, etc. The bill area of the wallet is open on one end as mentioned in some of the other reviews, but I have never had an issue with bills falling out. When the wallet is closed, the velcro flap "seals" that end of the billfold so I can't see any way a bill could escape from a closed and velcroed Commando wallet. The only thing I did find that I had to be more careful of is not stretching out the interior pockets by putting too many cards in them. Once stretched, the nylon pocket does not have any memory to go back to its original size. I always make sure to have the open end of the card pockets facing up when I put it in my pants pocket just to make sure no cards fall out. I used my first Commando for about five years before some of the interior stitching in the bill area came loose. I ordered two replacement wallets so I should get another 10 years of service before I have to worry about getting a new wallet.

Its a money holder, only buy if you have money to hold
I bought this for my 10 year old son because he got a bunch of cash for his birthday so I brought him to buy his chosen item and upon removing his money from his pocket he dropped it all over the floor. I thought a wallet might help. Time will tell I suppose. As for the wallet itself, it seems good for a child. I'm not a huge fan of velcro closures so I'm not sure that an adult would want this but each to their own. There is a small velcro pocket for change and a couple other small pockets for cards or a license or whatever. I do like that the money pocket has a flap which folds down, I hope that will make counting out money and not dropping it all over the floor easier on my son... Overall it seems like a good first wallet.

Almost the perfect wallet for me
I bought this wallet because it's nearly identical to the one I've used for the last 10 years. It's a bi-fold wallet with a Velcro flap over the end that holds it tightly closed if dropped. It has 3 compartments for credit cards and a 4th with Velcro closure, for coins I suppose. I will put cards in all 4. Of the less-convenient two inner pockets, I keep vehicle docs in one and medical insurance cards in the other. The more convenient pockets get my more frequently used ones like credit cards, Starbux etc. The lack of multiple card separators reduces the overall thickness, which I like. The area for bills is about right for USA currency, although other countries with larger notes might not work as well. The nylon construction will outlast many marriages and will not be harmed by a dunk in a lake. For me, this is the perfect wallet. Everything I need and nothing I don't want. The only change I would make is to remove the Velcro from the inner coin pocket.

Good general purpose thin wallet
A good general-purpose thin wallet that reduces bulk and rides comfortably in a back pocket. I wanted a thin, bifold wallet to replace a lightweight corduroy wallet that I have used for the past 25 years. This one fits the bill. It has space for the necessary cards, a generous compartment for cash and receipts and even has a velcro protected coin compartment. It's easy to forget that it is in your pocket, and can easily shift to the front pocket when traveling through pick pocket prone locations. An extremely good value for the money.

Ok, but not secure enough...
Was looking for an inexpensive, nylon trifolder and this one seemed to fit the bill....its well made, large and colorful .....a big negative is the wallet opens from the side, allowing your cash etc to fall out if youre not careful, which defeats the reason for getting a nlyon/velco trifold wallet. Too easy to lose your cash with this one... I gave it to my 10 yr old Godson...

Good Deal
The wallet I received is better than what I had expected based on the listing photo. For almost 40 years I have used a nylon wallet of almost identical design that I had bought from REI. That wallet became fairly shabby and worn, but still functional, so I looked for a replacement. I had leather wallets previously, and found the nylon was more durable and less bulky. REI no longer sells those wallets so I looked online. Many, probably most, of the nylon wallets I found online had a zipper someplace. I wanted to avoid that because the constant flexing inevitably would cause the zipper to fail, it would add bulk to the wallet, it would be a source of abrasion to break down the nylon, and it is simply unnecessary. This wallet avoids the sin of the zipper. I do have two criticisms -- First, the velcro flap to secure the wallet in the folded position is not quite wide enough when the wallet is loaded with IDs, credit cards, and cash. It is servicable, but marginal. Second, the wallet came with a velcro closure for what is apparently intended to be a coin purse on the right side. I do not carry coins in my wallet, and even if I did I would expect them to remain in that slot just due to the wallet being folded. The velcro sightly added to the bulk and made that compartment less functional for my uses. I removed the velcro pieces. Neither of those issues is significant enough to deduct any stars. I have seen the objection that money falls out. Having used the same design wallet for 40 years I cannot say that I had any problem with that. Because the bill compartment is open on the left side when the wallet is unfolded, the bills are more exposed than if only the top of the bill slot was open, but this design allows one more easily to sort through bills in the wallet and pull out the various individual bills desired to make payment. For me, that more than outweighs any perceived insecurity of the bills, and when the wallet is folded and in a pocket this wallet is as secure as any. If your ego demands an expensive designer name brand wallet, this is not what you want. For a simple, sturdy, and functional wallet, this looks like one of the best around, and I recommend it.

Cheap, but not worth the money
The velcro failed in about 1 month.
