These are sharp and thin, and slice veggies and fruits with ease. Useful for cutting avocados in their skins, as the tip is rounded and doesn't slice through the skin. Serrated knives are very convenient because you dont have to sharpen them. I have small hands and like to use a smaller knife, and light weight, which these are.Definitely worth the price! I was surprised how many knives fit in the little box they came in.I bought these to replace another knife set of thin serrated knives I had for over a decade and loved. Recently, those began to break, so these were a great replacement.Because of their thinness, I wouldn't recommend using them to cut through something dense, or frozen, I worry they might break (that's how I ended up breaking some of the previous set of the other brand of knives, and these are even thinner than those were). It hasn't broken yet, of course.Also, they are not good for opening bags or boxes with, as I used to do with the other knives I had which had a sharp tip. Because you can't use the rounded tip to cut it, somehow I've accidentally cut through my fignernails instead a few times. I'll just have to buy the sharp tipped version for that ! (I have scissors, I just prefer to use a knife for food packages).I didn't have the issue other people mention of the back of the knife blade being too sharp or cutting my hand. I do have a tendency to choke up on the handle, or place a guiding finger over the top of the blade. These also appear to be genuine.

I've bought 2 sets of these now. I can't say enough good things about these knives. When I first received the set, they felt so light weight that I doubted they could be any good. Then, I cut myself taking them out of the package - my fault because I underestimated them. The blades are very thin and sharp as heck. They are also serrated, just for good measure. The result is that I can easily cut just about anything. You can cut paper thin slices of meats, fruits and vegetables. We have a heavier, much more expensive set, but the Victorinox set is our go-to set. I've had the first set of these for a couple of years now, and they're just as sharp as the new set I just got. I absolutely love them.

Best steak knives I've used, sharp and cut like butter. Lightweight and look cheap and they may be from the Swiss but they are the best.
