Will it fit a contigo squeeze 32oz?

Can I use this without having brita bottle? Like i just drop this into my regular thermo flask bottle

I’m going to say probably not. brita bottles have a specific opening in the straw to put the filter down in. That way as you drink it filters it out. It wouldn’t do much more than just float if you dropped it in a non brita bottle.

Does the filter have expiry date? I want to store it for a long time.

It doesn't have an exact expiration date. However, I bought this for my 13 yr old daughter. She drinks alot of room temperature water. (I'd say minimum of 6 bottles per day if not more) Because she drinks so much, I replace her filter every 45 days. I think it depends on how much water u think you'd drink daily. On average it can be used about 3 months before being changed out. I hope this helps!

Can you store the filter if not in use all the time?

Reliable and Sustainable!

I've been using these in a Brita filter bottle for over 6 months now and I love these! I preferred bottle water and didn't trust tap water so I switched to these to reduce plastic waste. I love having the option to refill a single use bottle and filter the water from any tap, rather than throwing away multiple plastic bottles a day. I've never had an issue with one of these, but a good way to tell if it's time to change it out is if it's becoming difficult to suck through the straw. I like to use stuff until it's spent so it gets it's maximum use so the first few times I changed it it probably wasn't there yet, I didn't realize how long it had been until I finally got around to switching one recently and I realized the water just came right up the straw and I didn't have to pull like I had a thick milkshake.

Has to be rinsed a few minutes because of charcoal bits coming off

The charcoal was coming off as I rinsed it with water before using. I’ve only ever had the original filter that came with the bottle and I don’t recall it doing that. After about five minutes of rinsing the bits of charcoal stopped coming off.
