Email Persuasion Is easily the best training I've seen on email marketing. There are courses out there that cost hundreds to thousands of dollars and still don't compare to this powerful book. Before reading Email Persuasion, I struggled with confusion, not know where to start. List building seemed overwhelming to me. I just kept saying to myself that I needed to build a list, but had no idea how to go about it. I continued to put it off and then reached the point where I pretty much gave up on it. Then while doing some research on another topic, Amazon showed Email Persuasion as a book I might also like. For $3.99 I decided to buy it. I was blown away! I am not one to give reviews in general. I think I've done maybe six over the course of 2 years buying books since I got my Kindle. So for me to write about this is a big deal to me. This is what you'll get with this book, from the notes I took while reading it; yeah, I took notes, I never do that: * Building a persona for your ideal customer/client. Ian explains a step by step process that makes getting into the thoughts and motivations of who you're trying to reach a breeze. He has you create a 4 part outline covering the facts, lifestyle, goals and motivations and the internal identity of your ideal customer/client. You'll have them feeling like you really know and understand them, because you actually do. * Maximizing the perceived value your clients will experience, by creating an attractive incentive to address their problems and goals. * Reducing friction, risk and hassle for your subscribers, by making it easier to opt in to your list and assuring them with professionalism and social proof; guaranteeing them that you will never abuse their information they've entrusted to you. * The mechanics of structuring a well-crafted email sequence that assures it will get in to their inbox and be opened, read and acted upon, by deeply engaging your future client. * How to set up an auto-responder program and all of the other technical requirements that go along with running an email campaign. * There's also a huge bonus that I found to be worth at least several hundred dollars, by itself. You get access to Ian's private Email Persuasion FaceBook Group, where you can discuss topics and work out issues you've had relating to email marketing. You also get access to several tutorial videos that go over the topics from the book. Make sure you opt in to Ian's email list. I did and I'm getting emails regularly, giving advice I can't get anywhere else, for my email campaigns. I'm just so glad I decided to act on that impulse offer to take a look at this eBook. I purchased Ian's book hoping to brush up on my email marketing efforts and I got WAY more than I bargained for. Personally, I dislike business books that are all theory and low on tangible insights, but Ian made sure to overdeliver not just on theory but, in the actual application of everything he discuses. I'm currently in the process of going through it a second time with pen and paper in hand in order to pluck out the juiciest parts to implement in my business going forward. Great read if you're looking for a solid overview of email marketing and need to know exactly what you should be implementing going forward.

Ce livre (en anglais) aborde un sujet complexe de manière très simple. Chaque chapitre nous fait progresser sur le chemin d'un marketing par email performant et nous invite à l'action. J'ai mis une note de 5 étoiles car : - Ian Brodie aborde rapidement les aspects théoriques (pour comprendre où on va et pourquoi) que la pratique. A la fin de chaque chapitre, on sait ce qu'il faut faire pour avancer, et surtout comment. - Chaque chapitre nous invite à l'action. Comme le dit Ian Brodie dans l'introduction, "le facteur essentiel pour obtenir des résultats à la lecture de ce livre, c'est d'agir". - les étapes sont claires et faciles à mettre en oeuvre - un site web compagnon, réservé aux acheteurs du livre, fournit des vidéos complémentaires, des modèles et des exemples. Je recommande ce livre à tous ceux qui : - lisent l'anglais (c'est assez simple, avec des phrases courtes) - J'espère que ce livre sera traduit en français rapidement, pour ceux qui ne lisent pas l'anglais. - voudraient comprendre comment établir des relations personnelles avec des prospects, afin de leur inspirer confiance pour le jour où ils vont, éventuellement, décider d'acheter. - veulent développer les inscriptions à leur liste de diffusion (newsletter) - se demandent quel contenu proposer à leur audience - souhaitent réfléchir à leur communication internet : à qui je m'adresse, comment communiquer avec mes cibles, comment convertir des lecteurs en clients lorsqu'ils sont prêts à acheter ? - quelles technologies utiliser pour envoyer des mails à des prospects Pour une fois, l'auteur ne promet pas qu'on va devenir riche rapidement avec internet ! Il nous propose un cheminement pas à pas vers la réussite, de manière précise, concrète et sympathique.
