I hate oven mitts these changed everything I had the ability to use my fingers. You do need to be careful there not 100% heat resistant I emptied water from my crockpot that had been boiling chicken for 6 hours and did burn a finger through the glove but nothing severe.

I do not buy cute oven mitts anymore. I love these gloves. Functional and washable. Love them.

So, I love to cook! Anywhere from BBQ, to the oven, cast iron skillets, and smokers, and these mitts work pretty well. I have been looking for something better than an oven mitt and rubber pot holders for a little while, finally got these, and it was totally worth it. I can actually grab my cast iron and baste my dinners so much easier, use my tongs and flip my BBQ dinners with comfort, and actually grab my cookie sheets and pots without being scared I will drop it. It's a plus my man-hand boyfriend can wear these gloves too, was a little worried they weren't going to fit us both. The only reason I didn't rate them a 5 star was because I noticed they aren't 500+ degree proof, or even 400. I was baking and the oven was at 425, grabbed the cooking sheet out and after only 5 seconds I definitely felt the tray, after 10 seconds my hand and fingertips felt like they were burning. So just note, when you are grabbing trays/pans straight from the oven that's over 400 degrees, you will absolutely feel the heat after a few seconds. Other than that, exactly what I wanted and needed!

UPDATE: I bought these in September and have used them continuously since. I decided yesterday to wash them in the washing machine with cold water and liquid detergent. Afterwards I threw them in the dryer at medium heat with a dry towel. They came out looking brand new and no shrinkage. These are fantastic!ORIGINAL POST: I have rather large hands. This what I have needed for a long time. Haven't washed them yet but because of the material quality, I have no doubt they will wash easily in my washing machine and then hang dry.

Had fingers making easier to handle dishes. They are perfect.

I've tried and returned many of these gloves. Most gloves are an overkill and too big and bulky to use. This is thin but gives me excellent protection against heat. I highly recommend!

They work well for a few seconds. I burned my hands lifting a Dutch oven from the kitchen to the dining room. The gloves get really hot if you hold on to something hot for longer then a few seconds. I will have to return them.

The gloves are really comfortable to wear and you have good use of your hands, easy to grab and hood onto pots etc.. Either glove can go on left or right hand, easy to clean. That’s the good news, bad news is they truly are mot much better than wool mittens. If you are grab a very hot over 400 degree pot/pan you will feel the heat. After 10 seconds or so you may get burned. I am keeping them as I truly do lot like those cumbersome overstuffed barbecue gloves, it’s a trade off.

I use these while barbecuing and for the oven. Oven mitts were thrown out.. get these and use your fingers ;)

Good quality. Arrived on time. The gloves are fair too large for my hands so another present for my husband who can use them to bbq.I can not comment on how good heat resistants is as we haven’t used them.

I used them for getting hot trays out the oven at the bowling club, when cooking for 40 people.

Very well made, comfortable and easy to wear! They really do you to allow to lift hot baking trays and dishes out of the very hot oven!
