Does the color fade after its first wash?

No. The quality is great. Very strong and durable. No fade.

Can you put sublimation ink on these tote bags?

I bought one to try it because people said you can do sublimation. They were wrong the image came out very faded because it is 100% cotton.

Does this bag have an inside or outside pocket?

The bag has no pockets, inside or outside. Only the bag itself.

Can you cross stitch on this bag or is it too thick?

I am not a cross stitcher but am familiar with it- in my opinion, the canvas would be too thick for manual embroidery. It is made from a good quality, durable canvas- which is great!- but I think it would be a challenge to repeatedly poke a small needle through it.
