Igloo Parts Kit for Ice Chests, White, 8.5" x 2" x 9"

This was a super simple purchase to make over replacing an entire cooler. Everything installs simply with included hardware and fits the cooler perfectly. Since the kit is made by the same manufacturer, I expected and received a durable replacement to the originals of the same thickness and functionality.

Found a big Igloo cooler dumped or dropped along a road next our house. Needed some serious cleaning, but the latches had broken off and the outside part of the drain plug cap had sheared off. Don't know if the damage was from previous wear or from falling off a truck or whatnot. The parts were easy to replace with this kit. Since the replacement parts are genuine Igloo I'm going to have to guess they'll last as long as the originals. Seeing as how we got this fairly expensive oversize cooler for nothing but a little elbow grease and this kit, the kit is a terrific value!

Great repair kit. The parts were not exactly the same for the repair but an improved part. That's probably why the old ones broke - not as well designed. The parts are still labeled Igloo even though they are listed as generic replacements. I broke the retainer to the cap of the drain first few times I used it. Then the latch for the lid broke when someone caught a pant leg on it and tore the plastic. The latch sticks out when not latched down. Nobody wants to keep latching the top when you're using it at a BBQ. The new latches do not stick out like the old ones, but they do hang up on the latch button when you drop the lid. They could have built in a ramp on the latch so it wouldn't catch but no. Maybe this will cease when the latches get used a few times. Don't know... time will tell. The kit comes with new latches, drain plug, and hinges. But not the lid strap for my 100 Qt cooler. That is separate for $5. Easy to do repairs with a screwdriver and sandpaper or a knife.

They were easy to install. Made well. My only dislike is not so much the product but the holes of the cooler. Once plastic has been screwed into it does not hold a screw as well as if it were new. Too bad they don't have a plug of some sort to make the holes smaller for a tighter hold. However, the parts were made well and fir perfectly

Item appeared new old stock and packaging was kinda faded. It was an 11 dollar item that had overpriced shipping fees of about $12.95 and cost about 20 oe so dollars and double the listing price

Parts fit my older cooler model perfectly. More parts than I needed but now have some spare parts.

This kit was bought to fix the latches that broke on a large cooler while I was borrowing it. Slapped on the new latches in a few minutes and it is as good as new. I used the drain plug for a smaller Igloo cooler that came without a plug. Tipping the thing over to drain was my only complaint for an otherwise excellent little cooler, but this fixed that issue. Just drilled a hole at the bottom and it went right in place.

Nice to see a manufacturer provide easy repair parts in this day and age of disposable everything. Kit worked perfectly, I’m sure I’ll get another 20 years of hard use out of it.
