Great treasure chest for a gift box
I bought this pirate's chest to make a College Survival Kit for my daughter when she moved into the dorms. She's into pirates and I wanted surprise her with some fun and useful items. The box was just big enough that we could pack it full of fun things, and the plastic walls were thin but sturdy to contain all the things. The item arrived on time and I was able to load it full of treasures (microwave popcorn, hot cocoa, hangover remedy, condoms, narcan, fairy lights, glow in the dark stars, chapstick, bandaids, thumbdrive, a women's health reference book, flashlight, mini umbrella, etc.) And then I packed the treasure chest back into the cardboard box it had shipped in, and it showed up in the dorm room with all the other boxes on move-in day!

A little flimsy, but was great for the price
The lid was a little bit flimsy, but used mostly as a display this wasn't a problem. The bottom part is decently made and sturdy enough for handing out candy and as a display.

Prettier Than Expected
The chest looks lovely on the outside, and not like plastic at all. I got this to add a pleasant aesthetic to storing RPG tabletop figures. They're miniature figures, which means this treasure chest can hold many of them at once. I also bought foam to layer the inside, because I don't want the figures to become scratched by rattling around. It's already working wonderfully for its purpose. For other purposes, it may be worth knowing that the inside is obviously black plastic, buut you could easily fix that with DIY methods. One would be by using super glue and an attractive liner. Two would be fashioning a lined insert, if you don't want to try to glue a liner into the chest directly. Personally, I probably won't bother prettying up its inside, as for me it's filled with foam and figures anyway. My only concern is an oversight of mine, and what I see as a small design flaw: the lid does not latch. I'll be 3D printing 2 custom clips that are bracket shaped ( ] ) to solve this problem. I plan to have them go over the lip of the lid and base. Think of the slider on a zipping plastic baggie, and you'll be able to picture my intention on how it'll work. Only, of course, 1 slider will sit at each front edge instead of going all the way to the other side. With some matching paint, it should look great. You can likely try this, too. Even if you don't have a 3D printer, then I'm sure you could take measurements and either find an appropriate clip, or a site like Etsy where someone would custom print what you need. As for color to paint such a clip: I plan to use Bronze colored metallic paint + a layer of sparse Matte black.

Good size
Perfect for a goodie box for the office I work for. I do think $30 is a bit pricy as it is pretty cheap plastic. However, it’s the perfect size, easy to clean and looks good for what it does.

It is great for exactly what it says. A classroom treasure box.
The first one I bought was broken on the side so I started a return on that and just bought a different one. I don’t know if the customer service is easy to deal with or not because I was in a pinch and I needed it stat. I didn’t give them a chance. I just re-ordered it. With that being said the new one that I got is great. It is plastic and it is for classroom so don’t count on putting any hard toys in it or playing rough with it. However, it is perfect for a classroom treasure box.

flimsy
These are adorable but the material is really flimsy for the cost. One chest was broken and none of the tops would snap on we had to put together using zip ties

Perfect size no damages
Was hesitant on purchasing this due to reviews stating they received theirs cracked in shipping. But am happy to say our arrived in perfect condition! Was able to hold a great amount in here! Quality is that of those plastic storage bins you find in stores. Perfect for what I’m using it for as prizes as positive reinforcements for my son. Posted a picture of my sewing scissors next to it as size reference. It’s the only one I found that looks like a treasure chest that isn’t super big or the size of a jewelry box! It’s the size of a small Amazon box. Love the detail and it doesn’t even look plastic at all! Would purchase again.
