I think it’s so fun to learn all the different facts about the states. There is so much info in them that my kids get bored before reading a whole page lol. I agree with some reviewers that the font is small. However, I don’t agree with their distaste for the cursive writing. Kids should be learning how to read and write in cursive, in my personal opinion. The only con is that the dimensions are so big, it doesn’t fit in our small bookshelf. But I also love that it’s huge. So sounds like we just need a bigger bookshelf!

Perfect companion for homeschool geography!
Beautiful illustrations and great information on each state! I purchased this book on a sale for 50% off and it's definitely worth it for that price. This will be the foundation of my geography lessons this year as I homeschool my 5 and 6 year olds. I am creating activities to accompany each state and plan to "visit" one state per week.

Thorough and fun to read
Love this book. We use it for homeschooling and learning about the 50 states. It is thorough about the state facts while also keeping fun snippets of information small and easily digestible.

Beautiful Illustration and lots of information
I absolutely loved the book for my son. It showed A LOT of information about every state. I would give it 5 stars but it contains too much for my child who is 6. If he were older and the information was not so overwhelming I’d definitely give it 5 stars. Other than that, you learn so much about every state and I like that in the back of the book it shows their flags and all the 46 presidents. It was very good for the price.

Great book and fun social studies learning!
Updated: My son lovesss this book and so do I. Beautiful graphics. My only complaint is the cursive writing in the small highlighted section for each state. My son is 10 and going to the fifth grade. He knows cursive writing but still struggles to recognize certain letters so therefore can’t read a few words sometimes. Other than that... great book! He takes it on our trips and each state we visit we read something each day about it. We even visit some of the sites mentioned in the book, which is awesome and make for a great Adventure! For reference, we usually do international travel but this year we did domestic travel do to are current world situation, however my sons says this summer has been the best summer of his life. So glad I bought this book ( originally got it to learn more fun things while doing online social studies assignments at home). Great purchase, got the activity book also and plan to buy the matching world map book too. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ***I forgot to mention above about the size of the book. I wish it was about one inch smaller (width and height). My son has trouble fitting it into his backpack and we have to put it very carefully in the center of it and I have to zip it because he can never fit it, so I worry he will damage the zipper or catch the ends of the books and they would get all beat up. Since he is in low school his backpack is not the size of middle or high schoolers but it also is not small like a preschooler or kindergarten. We use his school backpack when we’re traveling and he has been carrying this book everywhere.
