Lasko Quality but Blue Tooth is Flaky
For one, the quality of this unit is superb. The packaging was excellent. The only drawback is the Blue Tooth app is flaky, it works then does not work. The idea is to keep the fan plugged in to maintain the control app but despite that, it still fails and is unreliable. No matter, the BT function was not important to me. I bought this unit because all the Lasko fans I have had before were great products. It was a brand I immediately recognized. This works perfectly without the Blue Tooth controls. I would buy it again.

The most underperforming & disappointing fan EVAH!
I wanted this fan to replace a totally manual window fan that will not reverse direction unless you manually take 8t out of the window and point it in the opposite direction. I've had reversible and independently operated manual fans were different controls mechanically toggle intake-exhaust & speed. Those fans were fine. This fan was to replace my single direction multi-speed fan.It did replace my current fan. Twice. For a little over 48 hours time. Twice because the 1st fan operated about 40-ish hours before it totally stopped working. After talking with Amazon customer service, they arranged my return of the fan to s local Kohl's with fan #2 scheduled to arrive on the one-week anniversary of receiving the original fan.Great! Fan #2. About an hour or two after I received it, I took my single direction multi-speed manual fan out of the window to replaced with this model fan...again.It started just fine. It paired (because it's a Bluetooth fan) with the phone just fine. Operated as expected. Went to bed with it exhausting air on one and I taking air on the other. Then I woke up the next morning....and... nothing. No sir movement. Pressing the on/off button doesn't activate it. Unplugging it from that outlet and plugging into a different outlet yields the same results. For the brief period of time it did operate, it's temperature controls, quietness, & remote control was okay. If it operated beyond a few days time, I might give it 5 stars on each. Because it failed, I'm not giving anything to these operational category ratings. For products you'll never buy again & want to warn others about, it should be possible for negative star ratings to take away from the good rating performance. I'd give it a -5 stars. Instead, this gets a single star as that is as low as I can go.Two fans that combined time of operation was easily < 3 days and barely > 2 days. When I operate a fan normally, outside of a power outage that cuts the fans power supply to prevent it from moving air, the fan is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days until it dies when I'm forced to replace it.Needless to say, this is the most underperforming & disappointing fan I've EVER had.

When the fan hits desired temp. It goes on and off over and over
I love it. Only issue is id.like.it.to just run and not turn off. Haven't figured out how or.if that's possible. And once desired temp is reached. The fan goes on for 5 to 10 seconds then off for 10 20 seconds. Over and over. Hopefully there's a fix.for that I haven't stumbled upon because it's quote annoying going on aND off on and off. Outside of that I love it. App downloaded controls fan. Should came with a remote as well for the money. But the app works fine

Can move a lot of air
This is relatively quiet, not perfect, but I can sleep. The blades are bigger than on some of the others, so it really moves a lot of air. Mostly use it on low. I haven't tried the thermostat, but I think I'll like it. Wish the light on the thermostat was a bit dimmer. I don't need to look at it, unless I'm changing temps. It can blow in or out. Everytime I turn it on, it still remembers my last setting. Not a big deal, but nice. All controls are electronic, I'm getting used to that. Used to have one with simple manual controls that were very easy to us.

Love it
Love the blue tooth. Use in my daughter’s room and I can change settings without waking her up. Best thing is it gives me the temperature in her room. Love it.

Blue plug solid fuse causes fan to not have power- fix
I’ve had this fan for 48 hours. Connected it via Bluetooth and tried to swap rotations. The fans thermostat can be switched off from in app by pressing the thermometer icon until it’s not green. The unit will display OF signifying that it’s off. CAUTION. Do not rapidly switch direction of fans. The blue plug for these fans is fused. My fan stopped working after. Luckily I have a degree in electrical engineering. Took my fan apart and found it to be a bad plug. I feel like this 70 dollar product would be better if Lasko used there in fuse plugs instead of their solid blue plug fuses. If you have a issue with no power the plug is the culprit. If you take a multi meter, you should measure 200-300 kilo ohms across both ac leads. If you have a OL or open line. The plug is bad. Don’t throw it out. Cut the plug off and add ur own. Can be had off a old extension cord or at the hardware store for less then 2 dollars. I’m giving this fan 1 star because I feel most people will have this issue and throw it out or return bc of it. Other then that. Fan is a good product.Update: After reverse engineering this board I found why it's causing blue plugs to pop. There is a triac (BT-137-600E) labeled T1 on the main power board, when the fan speed is set to 3 it sends 3.3V to the triac which shorts the main power rails together to run the fans at full speed. There is still voltage applied to the relays when the triacs gate is being activated causing a ac short on both power rails! I found this out today after turning off my unit thr fans stayed on and kept spinning. Found the triac to be short. If you remove the triac you can run the fan up to speed 2 and will function normally. I plan on replacing the triac with a relay that seems more robust to handle current spikes in this situation. This was poor electrical design by lasko. All their products are plagued. There should be some resistors or caps in series with the output of the triac to help with the AC switch over.
