Brilliant DIY solution for awkward light switches – simple setup and totally reliable
I’ve been living in my house for about two and a half years, and the light switch for my converted attic has always been in the most awkward place imaginable. To turn the light on, I had to go upstairs, cross the entire room in the dark, and fumble around with a torch during winter months. This Thinkbee Wireless Switch completely solved that problem. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s been life changing for me, as someone who uses the attic daily. The installation was straightforward, even for a DIY novice like me. I followed the instructions, wired the receiver in, and had it running within minutes. The components are compact enough that I’ll be tidying them into an empty junction box soon. I’ve been using it for around six months now and it’s worked flawlessly, no connection dropouts or issues. The range is excellent, and it switches instantly every time. The wall switch looks neat and modern and can be stuck in place with the included adhesive and or screw. One small tip that caught me out, make sure you pair the remote to the receiver, it’s in the booklet but easy to miss if you jump straight in. For anyone wanting to add an extra switch or fix a badly placed one without rewiring, this is a brilliant bit of kit and genuinely worth every penny.

Excellent, simple installation, but...
Great product, works as advertised, however... The two connection blocks supplied with it are useless; the orange levers to make the connections snapped on both long before they'd secured the wires, so I had to resort to old-school connection blocks. Not a problem as I had some in the workshop anyway, but if you're not an engineer yourself then get some in ahead of time. Also, if you're installing the receiver up in the loft above the light fitting, make sure you take the switch with you to pair it up after connecting - I forgot and had to go back down to get it, not a major problem though as you should be flipping the breaker rather than working on a live circuit, so you'd have to go back down anyway to power the circuit back up ;) One last recommendation - at some point you'll need to replace the battery in the switch, so I'd recommend using velcro dots to attach it to the wall, rather than the double-sided tape supplied with it. You could secure it to the wall through the single screw hole, however the slot to release/open the case is on the back, so I don't see how you'd be able to open/remove it after you've clipped it into the backplate, also, with it only being a single screw hole, there's scope for the switch to pivot around the single screw, especially if used by kids. All-in-all though, I'd definitely buy one again if the need arises, great product for the price :)

Does the job, range seems good
This works well, range is good. Pairing was easy (but don't forget to do it before you close all your junction boxes up) I've used this as a manual override for a PIR-triggered security light where I couldn't add cores/cables to the existing mains wiring. If you're planning on doing the same thing, you'll be happy to know that the neutrals are common and NOT switched. This means you can wire them both into the same Wago/chocbox connector in your junction box and run a single neutral from this to the PIR, reducing the number of cores needed in the cable from 5 to 4.

Easy fix that saved a lot of wo
I fitted this to add a new kitchen light switch without cutting into the wall. The wiring was in the next room, so I placed the receiver there and set the wireless switch in the kitchen. Installation took just a few minutes, pairing was easy, and it worked straight away — even through a solid wall with no signal drop. What makes it stand out is the flexibility. You don’t have to fix the switch immediately, so you can try different spots before deciding where it feels most natural. I used small Velcro pads instead of the supplied tape, which makes future battery changes easy. The build feels solid, range is excellent, and for the price, it’s hard to fault. A tidy, modern solution for adding or relocating a switch without any mess or rewiring. Hope this helps — feel free to mark it if it does.

Quality and Versatility
So easy to install and is legal in bathrooms so you can get rid of that dirty old pull switch. I have also installed one inside a fluorescent fitting in my workshop to avoid wiring to a conventional switch. This is a great product.

Good switch
This is a great little switch. I used it to replace a very noisy pull cord switch in the bathroom and it is a great improvement. The switch is good quality, virtually silent in operation and simple to fit. I will be buying more.
