My Physical Therapist had one
I ordered this because my PT used it to torture me. My task was to balance on it with one foot. I doubt that I could have done it when I was 25, but I'm now 67, and balance (along with vision and hearing) aren't quite what they once were. I called it my "field sobriety test", and acknowledged that I'd failed. I was able to balance on two feet, but not one. I'm continuing to strive toward success. In the meantime, the unit is very well built, of quality materials. I was impressed that it included TWO inflator needles, along with the hand pump. Though I belive that my PT is a closet sadist, I give this unit "two thumbs up".

Great for sitting and standing
So far I've only sat on it and it's awesome (ordered a stand-up desk, yet to arrive). I can feel it strengthening my back and abdomen and it reminds me to sit up straight with my feet flat on the floor which I constantly fail to do. Also, it helps to improve my ergonomic set up, I am seated higher in my chair, which helps my arms reach my keyboard at the right angle and my feet can be placed flat on the floor. Pumping it up wasn't an issue...not sure why others are having a problem. Maybe you are trying to pump it up to an uneccessary amount? It's supposed to be slightly deflated.Update- Standing is good too, but need to increase my core strength to stand for long periods. But it helps to remind me to stand up straight. Also, I received a workouf PDF from the seller, so be sure to check your Amazon messages for it.

Small and easy to store, but very useful for balance work.
I've use one of these for a few years for balance exercises and to strengthen my bunged up ankle. Unless you are very active as you age, it is important to work on your balance to prevent falls. My two out-of-town girlfriends came to visit for a few days and I got them to try a few exercises on my disc. They were surprised how quickly their balance improved, so I ordered two more discs and had them shipped directly to their homes. My friends were surprised to find the discs waiting when they returned from their visit. Several months later they both say they are still using their balance discs every day. Score one for aging well!

Exactly as ordered
The balance discs (I ordered 2) arrived directly on time as promised. The disc comes with a hand pump that incorporates a bit of ingenuity as the air needles fit into tiny holes on top of the pump. The needles are male threaded screwing into a female socket. There are two air needles included with each pump and they are the same size and serve the same purpose. There's also a two sided paper which includes exercises on one side and instructions for inflating/deflating the disc. It appears URBNFit has done a really good job in providing packaging and accessories in a compact footprint.

Good product, great customer service.
I ordered this to use at my desk in my office. However the hand pump that came with the disc didn't work. We tried both needles and nothing. I emailed the company, explaining our inability to inflate. They responded by sending a link to an instructional YouTube video. We tried to inflate again, following the instructions on the video and nothing happened. I wrote back to the seller, who promptly stated they would send a replacement. At the time, I thought they were sending a new hand pump, however, I was surprised to find a whole new disc 2 days later on our doorstep. We were eventually able to inflate the first disc using a bike pump. I've been using the product for the last 3 days and can feel how tired my legs get from standing on it while typing. I'm looking forward to increasing my balance with more use.

Five Stars
Great for balance practice. Makes you realize you're as good at it as you used to be!

Does its function as expected
I'm not sure if I should give the "stability" metric 5 stars or 1 star. The purpose of the "Balance Disk" is to *challenge* stability. If you're looking for an exercise prop that is perfectly stable and makes it easier to balance, then this is definitely not the product for you, if that is not apparent already. If you're looking for an exercise prop that has varying levels of instability in relation to extent of inflation, then this is the perfect prop for you. In terms of pain relief, I personally do not experience pain; however, it does well to challenge ankle stability, given a consistent balance regimen. So, I imagine that would reduce pain for certain people with pain that may be alleviated through ankle stability. It's good for acupressure for your hands and kinda fun to play with if you need a short desk break. It seems sturdy enough for your dog to play and chew on. Great as an acupressure foot rest, especially if you have two. You can also use it to strengthen your wrists if it does not meet your expectations and you decide to throw it across a field to your dog or against a wall to your malfunctioning clock. Will not deform after throwing, so you can throw it again.

Great for an ADHD child who sits on a hard chair at school
I use this for my ADHD child who has a fun, sparkly personality. The hard tactile part of sitting on a chair makes it difficult for her to focus and this is one more tool which helps her feel comfortable and less distracted. I love it and so does she.The bright pink is attractive to my girl and it comes with an easy to use pump. There are knobbies on it she can also put her hands on as another tactile help for her. She weighs 70 pounds and I imagine it holds more as it's very durable material (very thick yet still pliable).I'd give this 10 stars if I could.
