Great performance, needs better collar
We bought this to aid in training our 3 month old puppy. So far I am very pleased with the performance. Most of the time we can use just the audio and vibration mode but have to use the shock mode on occasion. I have tested the intensity levels on myself so I know what is safe for the puppy. Just enough there to get her attention. The one thing that could be improved is the collar for the receiver. The collar that comes with the unit is hard to adjust on a puppy that squirms around. We changed ours out to a snap lock with light weight webbing. (see picture) Very easy to do yourself if you don't like the included collar. Once it is set for the dog's neck size it is easy to snap on and off without affecting the fit. We take it off as much as possible to avoid any irritation to the neck. One other thing I would recommend the manufacturer consider is the layout of the keys on the transmitter. The larger (primary) key is the shock key. Personally I would like the primary key or keys to be the audio and vibration as opposed to the shock mode. Overall, a good performing collar for the money. Update: 2/25/21 Had a problem with the transmitter. The shock key was sticking on and giving the puppy a longer than needed stimulus. I inquired with the seller about a replacement transmitter and Steven offered to send one at no charge. Thank you.

Fantastic for small dogs!
Our 8 lb Cock-a-poo, Dixie is afraid of everything. The problem is, she has a listening problem if we take her outside without a leash. She likes to chase golf carts, which we have a lot in our community and almost got ran over by one. We tried a perimeter wireless fence. It shocked her at random times and we couldn’t get the collar off fast enough. I researched collars for small dogs and this one is perfect!!! Thankfully it has beep and vibrate settings. We only have to use the beep one to get her to come to us now. We trained her with a cheese stick because she loves them. After trying a few times. Last night she finally stopped acting scared and played in the back yard with freedom to run! Fantastic product for small dogs. I’m excited to use it at our campsite. I was also happy to see that the collar came fully charged, and had full, easy to understand instructions that my 10 year old daughter wanted to read, too. Thanks for a great product!

Decent Dog Collar.
This works most of the time. Good size for my small dog. Does not always work when I go to use it. I only use the vibrate/beep settings. I do think it will take time, because my dog is in such a pattern. When I peep him, he gets confused, so hoping that will stop him eventually from barking.

If your close to giving up on your pup please give this a shot first. It works!
Let me tell you. The shock collar was the last thing we wanted to do to our baby but he was so out of hand it was the last straw. We also have a cat and they love to play but my puppy Tucker gets so tough he wants to pull the cat by the eat side of his face or tail or whatever he can get ahold of. He also had a major listening problem. He barked at EVERYTHING! He bites everything from hands to cords. Now with the collar he's like a whole new dog. The shock part can't even really be used cause his fur is to long haha. But he responds more to the beep and buzz perfectly. He now is so much better after having the collar for about a month that I dont even have to keep it on him all day and night anymore. When I say Tucker come he Flys up on the bed. All that from just a beep that kinda trained him. He knew if he heard it that the buzz was coming next and it doesn't hurt him it just annoyed him. My boyfriend held it against his own neck and its harmless. But trust me if you have an unruly dog and your getting to the point of giving up try this it works. Can't guarantee it will work on chewing though haha. We still have an issue with that. But the biting is way better.

A few MAJOR flaws make this a bad purchase
This unit is small, which is nice for a 5 month old border collie. BUT! There are a few major problems with it. 1) the On/Off button on the collar is very easy for a dog to toggle. The button needs only to be pushed once, rather than held down to power the unit off. So every time our puppy spends more than a few seconds scratching at it, she turns it off. Flipping it so the button faces towards her head or body makes no difference. This is a HUGE problem. 7 out of 10 times we need to use the audio or vibrate settings, it is turned off. They need to make the button a 'hold for x-seconds' type button. 2) battery life. We use the functions perhaps 5-7 times per day. Mostly the audio only. The battery lasts about 4 days max. It is a small unit, so a large battery isn't a valid option. But this does seem very short compared to many reviews. 3) the charging port cover is very easy for our dog to pull out of the port. It doesn't fall off, but a few scratches will unplug the charging port which opens it up to water ingress. Poor design. 4) the 'switch to a different pet' button is right next to the other buttons and there is no tactile distinction between them. If you notice your dog doing something naughty, you have to carefully pick up the unit so as not to bump this button, then visually make sure you are hitting the right button. If you put it in a pocket, it is very common for the switch pet button to be pressed, which makes the unit useless when you grab it and try to use it. You then must cycle through all the various pet settings to get back to your pet's setting. You could use the lock feature on the side of the unit. But that also defeats the purpose of being able to use it quickly. And you still can easily bump the switch pet button when trying to use the audio only feature. 5) the metal probe extenders unscrew easily from the unit. A wrench can fix this, but the metal is cheap. You must be very careful not to overtighten them or you will ruin the unit. Mine never felt tight, but I could feel the threads starting to give way so I stopped immediately. Cheap metal = poor quality. All totaled, this unit is not worth the price. It can be turned off by your pet very easily. It runs out of batteries very quickly. The charging port cover comes off, allowing water to get into it. And that infernal switch pet button is constantly in the way of normal operation. I don't recommend it at all. Very disappointing.

Use on my 2yr old rat terrier. Very please!
I was very nervous at first to use this on my rat terrier as I’ve never used a training device. I first read the Manuel and was very please with its content. 2nd I tested the collar on myself which only seemed fair. I will say lvl 1 for the shock will be as high as you probably need as it had a good zip to it. I tried lvl 5 next and that’s clearly not going to be necessary. I imagine 9 being the highest lvl is fairly painful. If your using this on a small dog 15lbs or less I can’t imagine you needing to go above lvl 3. I tested the vibration mode and found setting it to lvl 5 seems best. It’s a very high vibration rate. The collar the comes with the device is very long. Be sure you put it on your dog and give yourself extra length before cutting. The material used for the collar cut nicely leaving no jagged edges. Now for the big test as my dog ace is 2 years old and a rat terrier. He goes absolutely nuts on walks and wants to do nothing but eat every squirrel and rabbit he sees. First test I told myself I will only use the beep. Surprisingly it was all that was necessary. He would stop and look at me with the “what the heck look” and I would tell him to come. He did quickly to my surprise. Day 2 I decided we would try the vibration and see how it works. My dog ace has zero fear of cars and I knew he would try and go at one if given the chance. Feels bad setting him up but my daughters lost their last dog to a car and it’s not happening again. Sure enough ace took off on his extended leash with no fear. I said no firmly and used the vibration. He stopped in his tracks and immediately returned to my side. I am extremely pleased with the short term results we are having. I hope to never need to shock Ace and I can see it only being necessary when we graduate to off the leash training. I intend to do my best to stick with the vibration at lvl 5 as it really gets his attention and has worked. I think all said and done I spent $42. I would definitely buy another one in the future if ever need be. I’d recommend practicing with the device making sure you got everything down before using on your dog. It’s not hard to work and fairly self explanatory. Changing the lvl’s of the vibration and shock are separate so be mindful you have it correct. Very easy to figure out if you test the remote as it shows you the lvl you are on. The remote has a nice safety on the side preventing you from accidents. Simple flip up or down for on or off. It has a nice little red lock symbol on the screen when locked off. When on you see the lvl setting depending on what button mode you use. It’s really a no brainer if your looking for some help in training your dog. Wish I had looked into this a year or so ago!

Tough one to review
I was excited to get this since I have a 7 month old 10lb chiweenie that has been extremely challenging to train. First impressions: The collar itself is a cheap plastic one, but it will suffice for now. The chonky box with the electronics is comically large on her neck. Every part is cheap feeling plastic, but it only needs to last a couple months of training. The charger is a 5v 1A USB block with a USB pigtail that splits into two proprietary barrel style charging connectors (think old school Nokia). Assembly is simple enough and the instructions were sufficient. Initial quality issues: First and foremost, the description makes it sound like there's a small model for dogs 5-15lbs without the shock function and a large model for 15-140lbs with shock....this doesn't appear to be the case. The model I got does shock, vibrate, and sound...I simply won't use the shock. I pealed the protective sticker off of the remote's screen and was surprised to see the entire display lift out of the housing...the sticker's adhesive isn't even very strong...I was able to reseat it and it still works, but that's a bad indication of build quality/quality control. So obviously the display is kept in place by VERY weak adhesive. I used the small metal prongs during installation and covered them with the included small rubber covers. Unfortunately they don't seem to fully insulate the shock....I accidentally hit the shock button while I was grabbing the remote and I have NEVER heard my puppy scream like that before. So be super careful with this if you have a small dog. Lastly, even if the collar is turned on, the remote goes to sleep so quickly that you end up having to wake it up first with a button press, and then press the button of the intended function...when training you want to give the dog instant feedback to correct behavior. Not several seconds later. I'll revisit this after a few weeks of use to vouch for the efficacy and durability over time. So far I'm happy with how it works...but there are a lot of red flags too between the screen, the shock, and the build quality.

Great for small dogs, Love it!
This is great for our small 6 months old Corgi puppy. The receiver is super lightweight and doesn’t bother our pup at all. I really like the small plastic covers for the prongs. I only leave the collar on for an hour or two at a time. The collar is extremely easy to adjust to all neck sizes up to mentioned size. Very sturdy quality with the holes reinforced by metal inserts The transmitter is easy to use, straight forward. See picture. I absolutely Love the lock feature, as it prevents accidentally using it when it’s crammed in your pocket during walks. The small green light is on while the collar is in use, helping me see where the dog is at night. Great feature! See picture The beep feature is loud enough for me to find her if she’s out of sight. We have a large fenced in property, so she’s safe. The vibration mode is strong enough to get her attention no matter what. So far I’ve used the shock mode on the first setting only on myself and it is adequate, but not too strong. Didn’t try the next level. Battery life is extremely long. Receiver automatically goes into standby mode after a few minutes of no movement. So it’s right back on as soon as you pick it up. Had this unit for about 2 weeks, absolutely love it. Better then I thought it would be. Highly satisfied and pleasantly surprised by quality and features. Would definitely buy it again, even for a big dog

It worked
For a small 6 pound Yorki , not big on a dog , the dog doesn’t get bothered , works well , just the vibration is enough, the dog got the massage after 2-3 times. My pet got zapped once by accident (on 1 ) she jumped up really high and got screed and was confused for a minute.

This works for my chihuahua!
My little chihuahua likes to run amok when walking, no more since i used this collar, he now heels and sits! He weighs 2kgs and the collar fits. He ignores the bell and buzzer but behaves with the shock set on the lowest number 1. Product comes with an informative dog training booklet. Very happy with purchase.

Great quality for the price
Bought for our 6 month old Yorkie Shih Tzu cross. Really like that we could customize the size for our little guy (he's about 5 pounds). It was very easy to set up and is really straight forward to use with the pictures on the remote. The battery is rechargeable which is great. We haven't used the shock function yet because he responds to the vibration and beep really well but I am happy there are so many options. I would definitely recommend.
