Couldn't Even Create an Account
With this product, I couldn't even get past creating an account. I tried a Yahoo account that had an '_' (underscore) in the email address - nope, it wouldn't take it (but it doesn’t tell you that – you get to figure that out on your own). Changed to another email address that had a '.' (period) in the address – yep, that worked. Now I was finally able to create an account - nope, never received the confirmation email to continue the process of activating my account (and no, not caught in a spam filter). That's right - I'm now stuck! Thought I was clever and created an account on their website - nope, that turns out to be just for ordering items, and the accounts are not linked, and it accepts an email address with an '_' (underscore) in it.Now I get to do the dreaded contact support call on Monday when they open - let's see if they can delete my online account, delete my app account and directly assist me with setting up my app account from scratch. This doesn't give me a ton of confidence that this notification system will work consistently as advertised because the backend system and associated app are challenged. I didn’t even get to try out the device itself. Depending how the phone call on Monday goes, will determine if I return this back to Amazon. Hopefully the company is digesting the feedback and is putting its efforts towards an updated app release.By the way, having this device in a safe will severely limit the wireless distance will always be working off of a poor signal. A suggestion would be to include the ability to connect an antenna external to the safe. The antenna could be sold separately. Luckily, I have one – we’ll see what I can creatively do with it.Disclaimer: I've been in the technology arena for many, many, many years – not my first rodeo!Advice: Don’t hide from your customers if you are having challenges with your product – communicate with them and be transparent. They will patiently understand if your intentions are true – rather than attempting to sell more devices that have a limited chance of getting setup as designed.

Been waiting on this for a long time...
Finally got my Puck the day after it was released... I spent hours to try to get an email account to log in to the "App". I'm an IT guy, so I think I covered my bases. I have 3 email accounts I use daily, and have tried all 3. I do have an account (email) that can log into the Web page via Android and a PC, but that same account can't log into the App. I've tried several passwords, easy (Abc12345) and and complex. With the simple password I get a Welcome, followed by the logon screen that tells me incorrect username/password.I've sent an email to Support, as well as been on hold while trying to call support.YMMV, good luck. I might buy again when v2.0 is released.

An idea that's time has not yet come....at least in this build.
Great idea if it worked. I separated my wifi 2.4/5 ghz to make sure I had the right connection. Puck had one wall in between gateway maybe 20 feet line of sight distance. Mounted on a wood door. Worked okay for a few days, thought I got lucky reference all the bad reviews.......well, not. Puck started giving all kinds of erroneous alarms, movement, open/close when absolutely nothing was going on, no one home. I have cameras also. Moved Puck higher on door, reset router, reset puck, nothing worked. Wasn't going to waste my time trying another. Returned. For the money, the company should upgrade parts and design as if it worked, it would be a great addition to any security system. I don't know how many $29.00 cameras out there work just fine, video, alarms, motion. Puck should be able to do better for the money.

So far it's a Brick!
Got everything set up, account, app on phone, now it time to add device to application. Nope not going to happen and never will. There's something wrong with the software. Using the device install wizard. I'm all connected via WiFi to the device watching the circle death spinning within the wizard waiting for some sort of connection. Then the app goes black and up pops an error screen with no explanation other then check our frequency asked questions. Checked to see if I'm still connected to the device via WiFi, yep I am but the Puck is still not registered as a device. After several more attempts with the same result. Checked all those frequently ask questions, no help to be found there. Did some Google searches and found lots of bad news and people having issues. Well this brick is going back to Amazon! Well maybe the second generation will be better as this version is brand new to the market and the manufacturer is not noted for electronics or software. Lockdown is part of America Outdoor Brands better known as Smith and Wesson.

Unreliable connections
The Lockdown puck is a great idea, however the software is very quarky and will not remain connected to your wifi. They need to update these devices, They will disconnect while you are away. I returned both..
