Great headphones for sleeping
This is my second set of headband-style sleep headphones, which I'm using as an alternative to medication to get to and stay asleep. The first set was awful, these are much, much better. Not perfect, but well worth $20. (4-month update: I'm still happy with them and use them almost every night.)They are quite comfortable to wear all night. The speaker disks are wider, softer, and thinner than the hard plastic speaker pucks that came with the first set I purchased. The wiring is thicker and looks more durable, too. And the sound quality is quite adequate for the spoken word stuff I listen to, but I'll never reach for them to enjoy music. This headphone's biggest flaw is its bright, one-flash-every-five-seconds blue LED located in the control pad. It could be very annoying and keep your partner awake at night if you sleep facing one another. I found an easy way to fix the problem, though. I used a hole punch to make a small disk of cardstock from a 3x5 index card, pulled the electronics module out, and taped it over the LED. Now I can see it blink without it being way too bright. At $20, they're a great find.Oh, and here's my magic sleeping sweet spot for listening to audiobooks: I borrow nonfiction books I've already read from our community library and play them back at 80% speed. It's the kind of thing that's interesting enough that it takes my mind of 60-year-old former athlete joint aches and pains, but slow enough that it lulls me back into sleepy land. Awesome.Pros:* OK sound quality for spoken-word audio.* Soft and comfortable to wear.* Soft, thin, comfortable-on-the-ears speakers, instead of hard plastic, puck-shaped speakers I found in the other inexpensive sleep headphones I tried.* The headband can be pulled over the eyes to block light.* Pairing is easy.* Battery lasts all night (Two nights the way I use it)* Battery recharges with a mico-USB power cord in 90 minutes.* Electronics can be removed so the fabric headband can be washed.* Excellent value for $20.Cons:* Blazing bright blue LED flashes every 5 seconds while in use.* Sound quality is not great for listening to music. (This is true for both headbands I've tried.)* No noise-canceling or reducing features. I wouldn't use them to quiet down cabin noise in an airplane or snore of a sleeping partner.* The button functions and positions are not intuitive, but they are learnable.* No microphone.

Marriage saver
This is the only thing you need for a great night’s sleep. Parrot with your phone with a couple of white noise apps and block out the world. Don’t forget to charge it every morning

$20 dollars makes these a great buy. Comfortable, good sound quality
These headphones are comfortable, and they sound good. They're not totally sound cancelling, When my husband is watching television in our bedroom, I can still hear it a little. The battery life was good. I got roughly 12 hours on one charge. My one complaint is I only had them for five months before they would no longer charge. A little disappointed, but not enough that I didn't order another set last night when they finally died completely. For $20 bucks, I think they're worth the money.[edit] I think the battery charging life would have been longer if I hadn't kept them plugged in for too long. I recommend not charging for more than an hour.

Good at what it does
Comfortable, easy to charge and connect. Perfect for listening outdoors on a cold day. These are not “audiophile” quality by any stretch, but they do the job. Ok for sleeping, although it takes a little getting used to. There is NO noise cancellation, just a decent pair of headphones in a headband. Very reasonably priced.

I was skeptical... but this thing is truly fantastic.
sometimes I have a hard time falling asleep. Thoughts just start running through my head and often it keeps me awake at night. Some people like white noise, spa music, sound of rain... not me. I've found that the only thing that helps me peacefully transition to sleep when I have a worried mind is Carl Sagan's 1980 Cosmos program. No joke. It's one of the most beautiful and peaceful programs ever composed for TV.Anyways, my wife's a sensitive sleeper and so I can't just have it paying through my phone's speaker. And in the past I used little ear buds. But those are terribly uncomfortable, especially for sleep. So I tried this inexpensive little headset and HOLY COW!!! What an incredible value. The headband is extremely comfortable and the sound quality is fantastic. Charging is easy and not needed every night. I listen to 1 episode each night (about 60min runtime). I fall asleep with the thing on most nights and dont bother to shut it off myself. I can do this for 2-3 days in a row (maybe more) without needing to charge it again.I put a couple of pieces of masking tape over the small blue LED that stays lit during operation. That's the only flaw in my opinion. What purpose does the light have even for people who aren't trying to sleep with it. But it's easy enough to address with tape.As far as the bluetooth settings go, it works wonderfully with my iPhone X. After the initial pairing, the phone remembers the device and the headband will automatically pair when it is turned on.Brilliant. One of the best bang for my buck purchased I've made - ever.THank you!

Good for the price
These work well generally and are comfortable. However, some major issues for using when falling asleep/sleeping:1. light blinks really brightly (as others have mentioned)2. pairing the device or turning it off comes with a really jarring voice over, and it's hard if not impossible to press the pairing button while its on your head3. THE DEALBREAKER - if someone calls, even if your phone is on silent, the headphones will announce the call - this has woken me up before. Also, if you happen to have a low battery, rather than just shutting off, the headphones announce repeatedly "low battery" - also has woken me up in the middle of the night.Would love to see some headphones like this with a simple on/off switch, no blinking lights, and NO VOICEOVERS. I mean, cmon. It's for sleeping.

Most comfortable way to listen to audiobooks in bed
I was fully prepared to hate this product, but it's easily the most comfortable solution I've found for listening to audiobooks or podcasts in bed. Works really well, charges easily and the battery lasts a good while. I was concerned it wouldn't be comfortable but it's very soft and once it's on you barely notice it. You can wear it like a headband, or as an eyemask if you prefer. The sound quality is fine for spoken word stuff - not sure how well it would perform if you were listening to music and fussy about the quality, but to my inexpert ear it's fine. The range is also good - it picks up my phone's signal from downstairs when I'm upstairs. My only real complaint is that, like a lot of Bluetooth earphones, it has a very bright flashing blue LED light on it to indicate when it's picking up a Bluetooth signal. That's far from ideal if you are using it in the dark, as most people are because it's for sleep, and sharing a bed with someone else (which I think most people also would be, because if you weren't you wouldn't need to use headphones at all) because it's essentially a blue light flashing in their face the whole time. I got round this problem by painting black nail polish over the LED and I'm guessing a little piece of black tape would have the same effect.Other than that it's a really handy product.

TOTALLY UNUSABLE
Really disappointed with this! I wanted to be able to use this headband whilst I slept so not to disturb my partner but nope! Firstly it’s huge! Does not stay on my head tried to make shift a knot to tighten it but that’s super uncomfy as you can imagine and it moves the ear pieces to the wrong place. Secondly, the Bluetooth part at the front is a hard lump on your forehead no padding! Thirdly, bright blue constant flashing light, lights up the room! Conclusion - TOTALLY UNUSABLE! I want a refund it’s going in the bin!

Not comfortable.
I think a few things would make this better. 1. The box is digging into my forehead. I'm listening to a podcast now and it's not nice. I do have a big head.. so a range of sizes would have been more useful than a range of colours.2 my ears are not in the right places. Blame my parents... it's their genes. Maybe a way to eaily adjust the ear phone parts.3 as others have stated... that annoying flashing light. My wife complains I'm like a lighthouse ... complete with snore fog horn. All in all not what I was hoping for.

False advertising. Not "Sleep Headphones", but "Wake you up Headphones"
There's the bright blue flashing LED on the front to keep your partner awake, but this particular design flaw can be fixed with a bit of tape.I bought these so-called "Sleep Headphones" so I could listen to audiobooks, music or white noise when I go to sleep. However, not for the first time, I am often woken in the middle of the night by the announcement that "YOUR BATTERY IS RUNNING LOW!!! PLEASE CONNECT A CHARGER!!!" which repeats over and over again until I am sufficiently awake enough to pull the headphones off and throw them across the room. You can't charge them while you listen, so waking me up to tell me to charge them doesn't achieve anything... other than waking me up.This would all be acceptable if these headphones were not specifically advertised as "Sleep Headphones". At best it's a terrible design at worst it's false advertising.

You need a small head
The battery pack on the front of this is large, square and hard and presses against your skull. Not good for sleeping. The blue light on the front is annoying but I just taped it up.Battery lasts a long time but the announcements when it’s running low are VERY loud and will wake you up.The buttons on the front are quite fiddly. The headphones inside are adjustable but I find they always move around whilst I sleep so I have to readjust them every night.
