Many of the reviews of this product said it would drain approximately 4 quarts of oil in about 20 mins which I though would have been fine. But my experience was much different. I used this pump on my 2025 Yamaha AR 190 JetBoat for its first oil change and it performed flawlessly and it pumped out 3.7 quarts in about 6 minutes. I just connected the two battery cables to the boats battery and inserted one hose into the tube where the dipstick would be. You insert the other tube into a proper receptacle and let the pump do its thing. Make sure you warm up the engine before attempting to extract the oil. Highly recommend.

I received this pump in good time, in good fashion, I just haven't used it yet. I bought 2 of these actually, one for my boat because I was pumping and draining the main Gas tank on my boat, and my father was helping me and he had sucked on one end of a fuel hose going into the tank, to siphon out some watered fuel. Anywho, he had sucked on this hose and got a small mouthful of that nasty, Nast of gross. He didn't seem to mind, however when I got my two pumps in the mail I gave one to my father because he is hardcore and I would rather he use one these pumps next time he has some siphoning to do rather than the old suck and muck procedure..Needless to say, him and I will eventually use our pumps and I'm sure they will work great! also this makes a great gift for Dads, lolz it was by chance that I received these bad boys 4 days from my dad's B-day ;)

I have hand pump and air compressor to extract oil. I am now only this product to extract oil from 3 vehicles and 2 jet skies many times. So far, about 8 oil changes, if it break, it is worth the purchase.

after nearly a year and a half, i've finally taken this out of the box to use.neat little pump. sucked oil from sump quite well.after pulling about 3 quarts (maybe 5 minutes run time), it started smoking, but still pumping.the wires and clamps were hot to the touch. the housing was warm also.seems to work well if you run it intermittently, giving time to cool off.i let it cool off then was able to finish my oil change.all-in-all, so far it was worth it for me, but it really needs heavier-gauge wiring.im gonna replace the small-gauge wiring with something that will handle the 5 amps or so it pulls.

Purchased for use for changing Jet Ski oil. Well built, Easy to operate, well built, easy clean up. Would purchase again

Used this for pumping 2 quarts 90w gear oil in and out of rear differential. Slow but got the job done. Good for occasional use only IMO.

I am a mechanic working for a private fleet. I was happy with this pump when initially using it to pump coolant. Today, I tried to pump some waste oil from one drum to the other. When I used the pickup tube that comes with it, the oil only came out in a trickle. then I switched the pickup to a 3/8 hose to get more flow. It worked well at first, but then it began ovetheating. I let it cool off for five minutes. It overheated again after merely two minutes. I am not happy about this, and I am sure I will end up buying a different pump.
