Very nice plastic chip
The color is better saturated than a similar line of chips I recently bought. The plastic is molded to look like a clay type chip. Perfect flat stand-up edges, sharp corners, and the outline is perfectly circular. The edge spots have that random squish shape like a real clay chip. You can stand these on edge and gently roll them with no bumps. The edges are a different texture than the sides. It has a fine texture which makes them look similar to real clay chips. The inlays are slightly recessed as they should be.You won't be tricked into thinking they are actual clay chips when you handle them, but I am not expecting that for this price. But they are fairly impressive to look at.They are lighter than casino chips, but not much. I don't actually like how so many fake chips have metal slugs inside to make them feel heavy. To me, excess weight (and a metallic ringing sound) is more of a reminder that they are fake. These are only about 10% lighter than an average casino clay chip, while many other fake chips are 20-30% heavier which seems kind of comical to me.I don't know where the molding nib was on these. I guess it was somewhere in the inlay area, but it seems like they must have sanded it down. I don't see any with an apparent molding bump under the sticker.OK, now the only negative which is minor and more of a trade-off considering the price. The "inlay" stickers are almost a perfect fit for the recessed area they go into, which looks great when they are stuck on perfectly. Unfortunately, that also means I ended up with more slightly mis-applied inlays than I have seen with other chips. If you don't like when an occasional inlay edge sticks up above or at the level of the plastic, expect to have to take an x-acto knife to carefully peel up the sticker on some chips and apply it properly. This isn't unique to these chips, it just seems slightly more common.

$1.00 chips should be the white chip - hard to distinguish with green
I like these chips. All “clay” chips are a mixture of clay and other binding agents. A “true clay” chip would break apart. That said, these unicorn chips weigh 8.5 grams (i have many different Paulson chips that are new and they weigh between 9 and 11 grams - I was surprised in the variance in the Paulson chips). These unicorns are not as good as Paulson chips but they are a very good for the money (in my opinion). They feel better than cheap plastic and they lean closer to a true clay. I like the chips a lot. Slightly lighter than paulsons but they are used in a very regular game and the players all seem to like the chips a lot. One thing I did was pulled the stickers off of the white 500 dollar chips and i use those as one dollar chips. I find the blue $1 and the green $25 are too close in color and we usually have a couple players that have some color blindness issues so pulling the stickers off of the white 500s helped me to put a super nice set together. The colors used in the unicorn chips is excellent. A good “money game” chip should have distinctive but not “over the top” color in each denomination so you can tell them apart. You will be happy with this set in any real game situation. They are not as good as Paulson chips but they are really nice and they do seem like a real clay chip but just slightly lighter. Buy a sample set if you still have questions and happy playing.

Nice chips.
Love the weight. So used to 13.5 gram chips. These feel much better in a shuffle. All the edge spots are clean and line up. They do seem slightly large for my chip racks, they don't sit all the way down, but its hardly noticeable. Looking forward to buying the other higher denoms for my tournament play. I wish the sets of 500 could be customized.

Good Chips
These Chips are overall nice, they are high quality for what you pay. They feel good, shuffle good, and they weigh just right. I also love the bold denomination on the front, it stands out. The only complaint I have is the font used for the word “Unicorn” that goes around the actual chip, I think that the font choice was a little strange. The font bothers me enough to drop the rating to a 4 star but besides that, well done.

Nice chips. Feels more clay like and less plastic than chips you would get elsewhere.
Was doubtful about chips so i only bought one set. Was impressed and bought more. All of them arrived nice and undamaged. Played game with friends and it was nice. Fair price for decent chips.
