Moderator Cymbal-Tuner Double Set 70mm

Cympads work great for me. I like them better then felts to hold and protect my cymbals. I use the 70mm for a SKB cymbal case to protect my cymbals when transporting them.

I purchased two MD70 size moderators to replace the bottom felt on my Ride & crash cymbal stands for lower volume (jazz/ contemporary adult music) gigs. It reduced the volume / sustain and some brightness just enough ( approx. 10 -15 %) so I could play comfortably in a small- medium venue with hard walls / glass commercial windows and a cement floor . I play the Paiste Traditional series (14HH,16 Crash & 20 Ride ). They sound complex and dark but still have some top end brightness like all Paiste Cymbals . * A lighter playing touch with maple drumsticks is the key to playing lower volume gigs musically IMHOP. I also the used MD70 moderater in the the same way to tame the volume and overtones on a my 20 inch Paiste Sound Creation Bell ride so it does not overpower the the other cymbals and drum kit. Worth the coin if you want tame your cymbal sound a bit !
