1 year review from a type 4 natural
I have been using this product every time I wash my hair after experiencing heat damage following a silk press. It has been nearly a year of using this leave in almost exclusively every 1-1.5 weeks for the past 10-11 months. I have noticed my hair reverting back to my natural 4b hair texture and my hair regaining volume. This is one of the best products I have tried for the heat damage and I really recommend it. I am so happy with the results. And for the complaints about the smell - it does not smell bad at all. It has a somewhat strong oil-based scent, which is very common in black hair care products. If you aren't used to that, then you may not like the scent. But it does have a typical black hair product scent. I don't mind it at all and think it actually smells quite nice. 5/5 would recommend.

Amazing
Certainly! Here’s a sample review for a leave-in conditioner:---I've been using this leave-in conditioner for a few weeks now, and the results have been incredible! My hair feels softer and more manageable than ever before. It’s perfect for taming frizz and adding moisture without weighing down my hair or making it greasy.I’ve noticed that my hair looks shinier and healthier, even after styling. It’s especially great on days when I don’t have time for a full conditioning treatment—just a quick application, and my hair feels refreshed and smooth. Plus, a little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts a long time.If you’re looking for a leave-in conditioner that delivers, I highly recommend this one. It’s a must-have in my hair care routine, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Shine and softness!
This product is a game-changer. I'm allergic to most hair care products, so I've come to accept that my hair is just a nasty, frizzy mess in the summer. The least amount of humidity and I frizz out! Not any more. This product imparts shine, softness, and manageability without weighing down my fine mop, and WITHOUT making my eyes red and my face itch. I'm amazed, and quite happy!

Blown away!
Been struggling with very fine , thin hair, with severe breakage, lackluster, brittle, dehydrated, losing a lot. I almost didn't purchase this because everything else has failed and Ive already wasted so much money. But because I love the vanilla shampoo and conditioner and I was desperate I decided to try it at the very reasonable $9.99 price. I'm SO glad I did. I'm shocked! After 3 or 4 days my hair is as healthy as it was when I was a young girl. Totally blown away by this product. The aroma is interesting.. but the initial "bite" of the scent, which is the black cumin seed I'm guessing, fades after your hair dries and smells so good once those notes evaporate. I really wish I had found this product sooner, I'm sold! This stuff is liquid gold! Lifetime customer here! (If the price stays low and ingredients stay the same).

Probably the best leave-in conditioner I've used!
I have 3A-3B low-porosity hair and this conditioner is amazing. Very creamy and hydrating. It even gives my curls just a little bit of hold, so sometimes I skip the gel altogether when I'm using this. I do wish the scent was a little better, but judging from the hair oil from this same line of products, I'm assuming it's the castor oil or something. Not unpleasant, just not very good either. I do still highly recommend this for any of my fellow curlies.

Its great but...
I've seen Carol's Daughter products around for years, especially the Goddess Strength ones. I first tried Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla products back in 2019 and I really liked it a lot. The Shampoo was very conditioning, and the Conditioner felt like butter in my hair. One of the best feeling and detangling Conditioners I've ever tried. I tried their products again and enjoyed it all over again, so I wanted to try the Goddess Strength ones for the first time. The ingredients and the products themselves are high quality as expected, my hair felt and looked really good. I think maybe my only issue was just frizz. I feel like Sheamoisture (my usual go to) helped me more with frizz, but it wasn't too bad. My other issue with the Goddess Strength line was the smell. One of the ingredients is Ginger, and you can tell by the strong smell. I was hoping it would dissipate or change when left to dry in your hair. I saw a review on Amazon that actually helped make my decision to buy it. Someone said that it did smell like Ginger, but eventually subsided to a "warm Vanilla" scent. Unfortunately that wasn't the case to me. It smells like pure Ginger all throughout, I didnt notice the smell changing at all. I think that's something I would change about it though. I think if they had added a hint of Vanilla to offset the spicy Ginger scent, then it would've made it smell like a Spicy Latte or something of the sort. I would've liked it much more if Carol's Daughter had gone that route. That is to say that if you love the scent of Ginger/Spice, then I think you'd enjoy the Goddess Strength products a lot.

The best
This whole line has surprised me! First off I do not like the smell at all but the results are so worth it. This has worked wonders on my hair straight or curly styling. I use the shampoo, deep conditioner and oil from this line on my daughters coarse mixed hair and it it the perfect balance of moisture and protein for her. I haven't used a product line this good in years and we try A LOT with her very curly hair! It's not heavy on either of our hair textures so it works for a wide variety of textures and curl patterns.
