I don't like how many items are designed with the use of a 3M adhesive backing to attach it to a surface. For hooks/picture hangers that can work, however to get a solid connection it just isn't a good method.Already having this opinion before buying these I never expected to be able to rely on the adhesive, and judging it on everything else these are great and very strong.Tried the adhesive just to see if things have gotten better, fully cleaned/degreased surface and let it dry before placing the mounts on. After maybe 5 minutes I heard a bang from the other room as the mount (while holding an item) fell to the ground. This was just placing an item on the mount and walking away, I never even pulled the item off which would have starting pulling the adhesive away as well.So as long as you are planning on using the screw holes to firmly fix this to a surface, you will love this mount, really is amazing how strong it is.

Use them for my Glock, very strong, almost to strong, requires significant force to remove. Not worried about firearm falling off.

Excellent magnets! Bought them 2 or 3 years ago I think, and they're still in place and still hold my S&W MP40 tightly in place. Holds tight but not so tight that it's hard to remove from the magnet. Very pleased!

The magnets are great and have a really good hold on my gun. They feel really strong and really hold my pistol in place. I have a Micro Compact that I carry and when I drive it's nice to have a place to stick it out of sight, but within reach. Using a magnet is much more versatile than most of the other mounting options I've used and I find it really easy to grab the pistol off the magnet when needed.Depending on the size of your gun, your experience may differ, but there are two magnets in the box, so you can probably find a solution for most pistols.My only real complaint is the adhesive double sided tape just isn't sticky enough. I tried to stick it to the plastic of my center console near my knee, but after a day or two it fell off both times I attempted it. The kit includes screws as well, so that's what I ended up doing, though I didn't really want to drill holes in my new truck.Now that it's screwed in, it's very secure and works great. I haven't used the second magnet, but I might use it to hold a magazine, maybe on the left side

these magnetic mounts really grab well, but know that if you plan to use it to hold your firearm from the side, the slide will naturally want to shift to a parallel hold on the mount.i used these as a mounting point on vehicle interior plastic molding, and the following is how i did that.for mounting, you will want to use both the double sided tape and screws as the tape alone will not hold the weight of an average sized handgun, and plan your mounting out by checking both sides of the mounting surface for clearance, once you have the positioning finalized, mark and pre-drill the 4 holes for the screws, remove the adhesive protection, put the screws in place on the mount and set it. i did not use the screws that were supplied with it (wood screws), and found that M3 black oxide screws with flat countersunk heads paired with matching washers and locknuts for the opposite side worked perfectly and allowed the screw heads to recess just enough to prevent any potential scratching while still strongly holding the mount (not allowing the screw head to pull through the holes in the mount).

These are very beautiful. Sturdy amd holds a lot of weight. My old ones woild not hold my Glock. This one holds it with ease.

This is my second time purchasing these and will purchase again. Both sets were bought for my dad and he loves them. They are great quality and work perfect. Only had to purchase a second set because my dad wanted another set for his other vehicles.

It comes with adhesive grip but the magnet is very strong so you definitely need to use the screws, included, to anchor it. It won't stay attached to whatever you affixed it to with just the adhesive and you'll pull the gun off with the magnet still attached and that's not good if you're ever in a situation where seconds count. The adhesive is good to set it where you want it, then easily use the screws to anchor it without having to hold the magnet in place at the same time. Overall a good product, recommend.
