These are good bore cleaning and lubricating sticks. They are great for at the range before and after shooting my rifle and pistol. They clean well and are sturdy enough to get the job done. I do recommend these. Must store them away from the sun light or heat so they don't dry up or catch on fire.

These swabs are perfectly sized for my 22 cals and should work with 223/556 as well. They are a tad larger than the bore to ensure,as you firmly push them through the barrel, that you know the rifling and lands are being cleaned. Not just lightly touched. The pretreatment with the Clenzoil brand CLP is a time saver and works well. I am very pleased and so should you. Ill be buying these again with confidence. I'll probably get the size for 9mm, too.

The beauty of these is the speed and simplicity of using them for routine light cleaning after a session at the range. Pull a couple out, run it through barrel few times, and the worst of the barrel fouling is wiped out. Then just throw away. No hassle with patches or threading strings down barrels. But it can’t replace a rigid rod or pull through with bronze brush for scrubbing out gilding metal & lead. The cotton on the end holds up well, and the stick is strong and flexes without breaking. I recommend using plain cotton swabs in bore diameter available after using to dry excess Klennzoil.Pretty expensive compared to cleaning rod, patches, and bottle of Hoppes, but you’re paying for convenience.

I use these for bore cleaning on all of my 22 LR pistols. One featured performance of this product is cleaning the cylinders of my Ruger Wrangler pistols. Bamboo sticks holding the felt soaked pads are strong and work well. I'm on my first repeat order for these.

I bought some for the 9mm, 10mm and some for my 22LR/22Mag combo revolver. They're so much easier to use than the rods and pads and dropper bottles. From now on, I'll save those for my shotgun.

A couple of passes through the bore, let it sit for 10 min or so and your patches are clean. Good to run over general fouling, too, Wipe and finish with lubricant. Fast and clean.

I shoot a lot and this makes cleaning my pistols a lot faster and easier than using the typical cotton pads and cleaner. They cost a little more but it makes the task much easier and takes way less time.
