I have purchased different fryers over the years and most of them are just hard to clean and get all the grease out of every nook and cranny. This Presto 10-quart kitchen kettle is big enough to take on all of your large frying needs. You don't have to worry about the oil boiling over and it maintains the proper temperature. It holds one gallon of oil. It's easy to use, fill with oil up to the line and turn it on the temperature for whatever you're frying. It heats up pretty quick. I let my oil cool completely and strain it into another container and use it several times. The pot is SO easy to clean too. It is nonstick so no worries about stuck on oil. My favorite thing to fry is chicken. It comes out crispy and taste delicious. I have bought my last fryer for sure.

I purchased a T-fal Deep Fryer Stainless Steel 3.5 L 1800 Watts 3 years ago and it no longer works. Despite resetting the T-Fal fryer the oil was unable to come to temperature & simply stopped working...so disappointing! The exposed coil element is never a good idea. Since I already own a smaller Dry Daddy for the pat 25 years I decided to purchase the XL 10Q Fry Daddy to replace my broken T-Fal. So far it works amazing, frying larger batches of fries in minutes. This XL unit will be a great addition and I am sure this will last much longer than the T-Fal.

Absolutely love this large kettle. I use it specifically for deep frying. I previously owned the Cuisineart compact 1 liter deep fryer for 6 years. It suited us well for just my husband and I. Over the years as the family grew or we hosted gatherings it was difficult to fry large batches as well as cleaning it. The Presto Kitchen Kettle XL is an asset in our kitchen and serves its purpose well. It’s large enough to use for big gatherings, larger food quantities, and easy to clean as you can unplug both the temp gauge and cord and hand wash it or place it in a dishwasher. The most attractive feature to me personally is that it doesn’t look like a hideous industrial deep fryer as many of them do once they go larger in size. While at 10 qts it certainly is a large appliance on my countertop I like the fact that it looks like a pot. It does require quite a bit of oil because the surface area is wide and large. I can easily fill it with a gallon of oil but can get away with 1/2 gallon depending on what I’m frying. They do have a smaller version of this which maybe be appealing for some. The max temp on this gauge is 400. I find that most of my cooking happens at 300 - 350 and it maintains the temperature well. The warm up time in the instruction booklet is 30 minutes however I’ve only waited about 10 - 15 minutes prior to placing food in the unit. I look forward to trying it out for other uses other than deep frying but am truly satisfied with this purchase.

I had the smaller 8qt version of this fryer for over 20yrs. This 10qt model holds a gallon of oil to the fry line (about 1/2 way up the side). I love how wide it is compared to the old one; all of the increase in size is in width so it fits on the same shelf in the pantry. Comes with a nice fry basket but I rarely use that. Got a great deal using the "like new" option by buying one with a slightly damaged box.

This is easy to use, cooks fried food at an even temperature & easy to use. Took a star off for the food tray & handle, the handle goes up & down. When you are frying, it’s in the fryer & gets really hot which makes it hard to take out. We make it work but wish the basket & handle were made differently. Besides that it’s a great fryer, easy to use & clean!

This thing is perfect. Big enough to fry whatever you want. I’ve had this for a while and it’s still cools like it’s brand new. Definitely recommend

Best of the best! Frying , soups , chili, pasta, veggies, you name it! Just wish I had waited like a week because now it’s 8 dollars off Lol Worth every penny!

This is huge. Perfect size for a large family or gathering. I use it to fry items, but also use it for large amounts of pasta. I have also cooked green beans. You can cook just about anything in it. Very easy to use, heats up quick. I was a little worried about putting it in the dishwasher, but everything was fine. I have ran it in the dishwasher numerous times with no issues. Very easy to clean.

Amazing pot for soups, stews, and deep fry. Easy to clean. My go to for sure.
