One of the first unplugged albums, when part of the tv show concept was to do an acoustic fresh set, and not the type of over-produced-rehearsed ready to be released as an album type of thing. So thats great. Youll hear Paul making mistakes, forgetting the lyrics to the songs, and chatting with the audience. So it is unique. He tries some songs just for the fun of it. Great liner notes by the way. I lost my little girl is the first song he ever wrote and on aint no sunshine he plays drums. The most informal set you can imagine, but coming from an ex-beatle, and in these days that every detail is polish and artificially perfected, comes as a very pleasent surprise. I wish he had released the up-close show as well on Cd.

A live mixture of Beatle songs and cover songs. Very good sound and very entertaining. I had forgotten about this concert. I'm glad I rediscovered it and purchased this cd.

Product quality was excellent, shipping great, price great- BUT THE MUSIC IS INCREDIBLE.

The only thing distinguishing this CD, which was originally issued over 15 years ago, from a brand new one was the lack of cellophane wrapping and all the annoying security tape protecting a CD from being returned to a store after being opened. Otherwise this CD, including cover art booklet, was in absolutely pristine condition. The purchase price of $6.93 which included shipping was well worth it! For those who are Paul McCartney fans, if you don't have this album, be aware it is not available on ITunes. I believe it is Paul McCartney's best live performance ever recorded.

Paul like you've never heard him before!!!!!! Rock & Roll

It may look like a collection of old Beatles tunes you already have on LP or CD, but what lifts this recordig out of the ordinary is its clever use of balanced acoustic instrumentation in the hands of a set of consumate professional players who know how to put tigether an entertaining hour of music.Unlike many 'unplugged' albums, this one uses no electric instruments and the only things plugged in are the microphones that pick up the singers and instruments for the recording. Instrument balance is achieved entirely naturally - for example, Paul uses a loud 12 string guitar to stand out from the combo and a quieter 6 string to blend in to the ensemble.The band fills out guitar and percussion parts with an accordion that fills in for all the places where original Beatles recordings used part or whole of a 30-piece orchestra. In fact, the early B side We Can Work It Out did feature such an instrument. On this programme it is used to good effect, sometimes providing a ground to the melody and at other times increasing in power to take a leading role.Like the current solo album, this one includes Paul's solo rerndition of Blackbird, quite a tricky number to play and sing at the same time on our own on stage.I think the surprise tempo change in Blue Moon of Kentucky sets the tempo for the session and the closing rendition of Junk from Paul's first post-Beatles solo LP rounds off an enjoyable performance that you will want to reprise often.It's just like having an evening at a small, intimate night club in your own home. what a pity it only lasts just over an hour.

The guys are having so much fun here you wish you were there or at least had a dvd of this. I know that there's hilights of this on the superb McCartney years dvd set. Sir Paul is perfection on here. And he knows it! You can almost see those thumbs go up after every song! He's happy and we are too because its a must have for any fan.

Paul takes us through his career covering Beatles, Wings, solo and covers.The C.D is relaxed and he is fine voice throughout the performance.Plus there are plenty of tracks on the C.D. and the audience are really enjoying the concert.

McCartney is such a professional! I know he's been performing for years but he makes it sound so easy. I love these unplugged versions of his own and other classic compositions. Paul's live material never disappoints.
