Savages

Well this album was not at all what i was expecting, its the follow up to enslaved, the heaviest soulfly record to date. When i first listend it wasnt that i didnt like it just more of a surprise. This album is heavy but it has more of a groove metal style to it than before. Max's son zyon cavalera takes over on drums and definetly fullfills. the stand out tracks in my opinion are fallen, K.C.S., cannibal holocaust, and soulfliktion. But i like every song on the album and it gets better and better with every listen i definetly recomend picking this up.

Haven't stop listening to this album yet. It is rare when you have so many talented musicians in one band. Then to add to the awesomeness of the album they have guest vocals by a few well known metal vocalists that you will easily depict. I haven't memorized many of the song names, mostly because lyrics and titles never interest me but the sound, the organizing of the songs the break downs and the solos are done perfect to me. Max s vocals are outstanding and infectious, it was cool to discovwr that static x s bassist joined forces. Really really great album. I bought the mp3 but plan to order the physical cd.

I didn't like the first few Soulfly albums... they had too much tribal stuff on it, and didn't sound really heavy or aggressive to me. With Dark Ages, though, and on every album after that, things have been getting much better, with the band sounding more like old Sepultura. Savages sound very good. The drumming is simpler than on the previous album, but it's very cool to know that their new drummer is Max's son, Zyon. Max must be very proud. Zyon is young, so he'll get a lot better. His drumming style is simple but solid, and obviously he sounds like his uncle Iggor in certain parts. As a fan of the old Sepultura, I'm very happy with Soulfly's latest album.

Great!!! I've been listening to Soulfly since before Soulfly... this album is angry, loud, and it rocks! I wish it had more 'samba' drum beats like their original, but as a metal album is got a major seal of approval.

Good album but Enslaved 2012 was a little better in my opinion! Drums were incredible on Enslaved! Heavy album loved it but Savages wss still great.

This is another great Soulfly CD. It would be nice if this one had Amazon's EZ Rip mp3 download feature

This definitely has a different feel from old school Soulfly, but it's not bad, just very different. Good album overall

Je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit là la véritable incitation à faire des Cavalera... Expliquez pourquoi vous avez aimé ou pas aimé ce produit : je suis un inconditionnel des Cavalera et de Sepultura avec et sans... On lit parfois qu'ils baissent de régime, les pauvres... Mais comme je les écoute un peu en boucle, c'est pê moi qui ai le cerveau ramoli, alors :)

Amazon ha consegnato tutto perfettamente e il cd è in ottime condizioni trattandosi pure di un digipak di qualche anno fa. Il Disco dei Soulfly è uno dei più lunghi ed impegnativi, quasi progressive, quasi un concept anche nel sound e nel legame tra una canzone e l'altra. Non ci sono hit o canzoni forti come nel passato, ma sono in ogni caso delle mazzate heavy e Max è sempre al top. Essenziale nella loro discografia.
