Utilitarian art
Simply stated, the quality (of the design and its execution) is flawless. I would be hard-pressed to use this daily, and I could see this best used as a (framed) wall hanging. The design needs to be seen to be appreciated, the colors are bold but not garishly so, and, in a way, I can imagine Frank Lloyd Wright appreciating this one and perhaps using it at Taliesen West. The piece is medium-weight and tightly felted, while the browns and teals are darker than depicted in the accompanying images on Amazon. Shipped directly from the manufacturer in their box.

Most beautiful blanket ever!
Bought our first Pendleton a couple years ago and was very happy with its quality. So we have acquired 4 Pendletons and this one in my opinion is the most beautiful blanket I’ve ever seen or owned. Also own the “Big Medicine” blanket in green (Chive color) and though it’s a gorgeous blanket too, this one edge’s it out due to all the different vibrant colors on the design. We love that Pendleton blankets are made in the USA, and their quality is unmatched. We also don’t think these are itchy as some others seem to think. Also love the history of Indian trade blankets and knowing Pendleton was a big pet of that over a hundred years ago and even as far back as 1863.We will continue to buy more Pendleton blankets due to their quality and beauty. I guess you could almost call us collectors now as my wife and both have several more blankets we would like to purchase and will soon. Thank you Pendleton for such a durable, warm, soft, colorful and beautifully patterned blankets.

Perfect Wedding Gift
Should’ve taken a picture before wrapping it up for a wedding gift. Put it together with a nice bottle of whisky. Couple can snuggle up and toast to their future. This is an absolutely lovely heirloom piece. Although pricey, I’ve had friends receive these as gifts from their parents and grandparents that were given to them when they were married. Beats a kitchen appliance any day! The value is in the craftsmanship, details, meaning and longevity of the piece. My only issue is not a huge deal and it was with the box. It came in a cardboard Pendleton box which I would’ve liked to give the gift in. Good size and it says what’s in the box. But there was no outer box, so the Pendleton box had the shipping labels, packing tape and handling bends all over it. Just something to consider.I hope this helps someone. I feel like it’s worth the price for a very special gift.

Top quality robe/blanket, would not be embarrassed to gift it
The thickness was comfortable but was very warm. I would buy another but they are expensive however you get what you pay for with Pendleton. Very proud to own this one!

Love love love this blanket
So glad the Native American artist shared her original design with Pendleton for this iconic blanket. The colors she uses are both vibrant and melancholy at the same time. The women depicted could be chanting joyfully to the distant hills or woefully mourning their great loss and the trail ahead. As I drift off to sleep wrapped by the rodeo sisters I’ll listen to the wind and hopefully hear their song
