Fluke TPAK Meter Hanging Kit

A coworker turned me onto these years ago and they make life a lot easier. Good and sturdy and the magnet easily holds the weight of my 115 and 87. Pro tip: install the hook in front of the magnet, then the magnet still works, but folds almost flat behind the hook so you can use that instead on nonmagnetic surfaces, best of both worlds!

I purchased this Fluke TPAK meter hanging kit to use with my Fluke 187. After the first week of use, I realized how much easier it would have made the past 3 years. The convenience of not having to hold the meter while taking measurements cannot be overstated. The magnet is very strong and holds the meter in place without a problem. The price seemed high for a magnet, strap, & clip, but I realized pretty quickly that it was worth the investment.

I just recently purchased this meter hanging kit. I thought I was crazy for paying such a high price for a magnet, a few pieces of plastic and some Velcro.Why did I purchase it? I was helping my son work on his car last year in the freezing cold and high winds and my Fluke meter slid off of his truck onto the concrete parking lot. The case was cold, at about 5 degrees, and it shattered like glass. My Fluke meter was an older model but it still worked perfectly even though it was over 30 years old.Sadly I was so attached to the multimeter I glued the case together and it worked well. 2 months ago I dropped it again and it shattered even worse. It was now unrepairable and there are no spare parts available for it.I purchased a new Fluke 87V multimeter and I love how it works. My first thoughts were did I want to break this beautiful device and the answer was no, I wanted to protect it.I purchased this hanging kit and it works perfectly. It does what it was designed to do. I like it a lot and it is a great addition to my Fluke 87V accessories. I still feel that it is overpriced like all Fluke accessories but it is worth having to protect a high quality and professional tool.Get it and enjoy the fact that your meter is protected!

Fluke Magnet is strong and very helpful.

This is definitely a game changer. Makes it so easy to read your meter. The last thing you want to worry about when checking 480v is where can I see my meter. Worth the money

Very useful on a multi-meter aboard vessels - I always have a steel bulkhead around, but I never have two hands available to work with my meter. I put the clip and the magnet on the same strap - hanging the meter on whatever is around is really useful. Expensive, like all fluke products, and I really don't think there is much technology involved in a magnet on a vinyl strap as opposed to everything else they make. Gotta have it, though.
