Solid connection with great looks.
It was a challenge to actually fit my home-made Chris Ven Haus recipe Cat5 cables into these, but once in and screwed down, it's a nice connection. It was flustrating that the screws would sometimes fall out in the termination process, but they give extra ones. The bananas are a bit long, but fit snugly into my amp. They were a bit tight connecting to my Maggies, however. I was almost afraid they were going in to far to the speaker, so I backed them out slightly.

nice basic plugs..
these work great. i got some AQ type 4 wire off a spool and terminated it with these.. works great, i really like them..im not sure if these are gonna hurt or help the sound. i mean bear speaker wire with nothing on the end is going to have the path of least resistance, add a plug in there and that is just one more point of contact. but bananas are convenient. these are made of copper and they are silver plated so they should be better than your average banana or spade made out of junk metal.my stereo sounds awesome, i have not tested to see if bare speaker wire sounds better than the speaker wire with bananas on the end, i kind of doubt you would hear a difference but you never know, like i said its one more thing for the signal to travel thew before it get to the speaker..to install strip your wires to the correct length, stick the bare wires in the plug.. tighten down the 2 metal set screws, put the plastic cover over the plugs, stick the plugs in the binding post on your speakers and your amp and your ready to go... very easy to install.

Adequate, not great, for the price. But at least real silver plated copper.
As others have mentioned, these are a little long and leave a fair amount of contact area at the base exposed once the slash-cut tip "bottoms out" in whatever connector they are plugged in to. I tried all my amp and speaker connections. I ended up shortening these bananas and eliminating the slash-cut tip altogether so that the nearly full diameter of the banana contacts the jack for the full depth of the jack. This was not a big deal as I have access to sander/polishing machine and calipers which allowed me to precisely size the end length. I can confirm that the base material is in fact copper as advertised (not pot metal or some mystery-meat). This much was clear under the microscope while I was deburring after shortening. The lovely color of untarnished copper is unmistakable.More of a disappointment was that the barrel (area where you insert your wire ) of these plugs has such a thin cross-section that even with 12ga. wire the allen screws would run out of thread area before they firmly clamped onto the wire. In other words if you keep on screwing in the allen screws and the wire squirms away, the allen screw is going to just fall in to the hole at which point clamping pressure is lost. The allen screws are too short. I suppose this would not be an issue with wire larger than 12ga. but really, if the screws were just 1/16" longer you could clamp them firmly on wire down to 14 ga. without worry.I do like that the plastic collars thread on from the front of the connector which saves you from having to put them on the wire before clamping.

Other wise nice tight fit
As someone else mentioned, these are a bit longer than normal, out of a large amount of my gear they stick out a little, not a big deal though.Other wise nice tight fit. I really like these over anything else I've tried. Audioquest also makes a 12pk of gold plated ones, I prefer the silver. Not that I noticed any difference in sound.I use these with 10 gauge silver plated copper cable and they are perfect.

The rest were all fine. I used these as terminators on Naim NACA-5 ...
One of these had the jacket torqued on too tight at the factory, and the banana portion actually twisted off while trying to unscrew it. The rest were all fine. I used these as terminators on Naim NACA-5 speaker cable. The sound quality is excellent.

Nice Design and Construction for the Price
I like these a lot. A solid connection without soldering. I bought the spades to match. Simple and not over the top in price. Allows me to buy bulk wire and change around as I wish. Plenty of high quality, silver plated copper wire sellers on eBay. Make your own high-end speaker cables!

Overpriced with Meh Quality!
One star for being over priced, and one star for horrible quality of the cover. I couldn’t even unscrew some of them, and I decided to return while I’ve not broken any. I also bought Monoprice Affinty, and I am very happy with those. They are not BFA style, but so what? They have a good grip with the speakers, and they have a different style than Swell’s, so they fit tighter.
