X Type Mouthpiece

Besides the significant reduction in jaw fatigue and soreness (which alone, makes this mouthpiece worth every penny), this mouthpiece helped big time with equalizing... for those of you that are like me and need to wiggle your jaw or clench/swallow in order to equalize, this will make a big difference. I molded twice, first for my bite and second to finish molding my gum-line with my finger tips, I found the bite guard to be unnecessary during the process. Trimming to size was easy, molding was easy, fitting to the regulator was easy.... what more do you want? I've bought these as gifts for my dive buddies And they love them too.

Comfortable. Just make sure you pull the zip tie good and tight so that it doesn't pull of the regulator.

The quality is there, instructions are great, fitment to my regulator was fine. But no matter how much I adjust fitment to my teeth and trim excess to fit my mouth, this thing invokes my gag reflex. I think it's either too wide, or the ridges around the teeth imprints are too tall. So just not for me. Obviously not returning it so don't worry about getting this one!

I chewed through my reg’s original mouthpiece on the first dive and barely made it to the fifth dive before it separated completely. So glad I got this! Very easy to shape and mold. Also extremely comfortable. I did have to use a separate zip tie as it was too large around to use the original piece from the Apeks XL4. Would be nice if it came with a fitted no bump tie. Going to get another one to add to my personal Save-a-dive bag!

Have used these mouthpieces for many years, put this one on my snorkel as I like to swim laps during the winter at my gym to help stay in shape. Really makes a big difference biting down over time giving significant relief to your jaw and making the whole experience a lot more comfortable.

I bought this after experiencing jaw pain after each dive. I am beyond pleased with this product, it has been a life saver! Super easy to mold to your mouth and has been extremely reliable, as well as eliminating all jaw pain- even after a week long trip with 5 dives a day..

Easily the best low-cost diving accessory, you don’t realize how tired your jaw gets until you don’t have to hold on anymore. Once you fit it to your teeth (boil and bite method) this thing stays in place with no effort at all and is so much more comfortable. Make sure you get the right size for your regulator, I’ve got a mix of brands so I ended up with a few different sizes.

This is a great product and loves that it conforms to my own individual mouth. Made diving so much easier as I am not fighting to keep the mouthpiece in place. Definitely recommend.
