Using them horizontal they can slip. But so far so good.

A must have for wrap around fenders on your mountain bike!
At first I thought these were a little spendy, but after installing them I appreciate that price. Quality mounts that will hold up to years of abuse...and I don't get skunk butt when riding my bike. For the life of me I don't get why mountain bike manufactures don't think people could ever want fenders on there mountain bikes but this little attachment saves the day. Now I can mountain bike and commute on one bike if I see fit...even on rainy/wet days!

but the axle runners are sturdy enough to hold them in place with not rattles ...
They do exactly what they are supposed to do, mounted SKS P35 fenders to a straight race frame. The relatively narrow fenders barely fit through the rear brake bridge, but the axle runners are sturdy enough to hold them in place with not rattles or shifting.

Doesn't work
These do not clear the lips on my fork dropouts, so they do not work as fender mounts. YMMV

Good item which does the job
Good item which do the job. Delivery prompt.Item itself was a replacement as one runner broke. This could be a safety feature, if so no problem.

but because they are nice and thin and well made I managed to fit ...
Didn't actually fit to my forks on the spindles as too wide across, but because they are nice and thin and well made I managed to fit them elsewhereand they do an excellent job and look smart on my Dawes Hybrid.
