Solid Fixed Cameras with Great Image Quality
Solid Fixed Cameras with Great Image Quality These are simple, fixed dome cameras with digital zoom, and they do exactly what they’re supposed to do. Image quality is sharp with good color during the day, and they perform well at night too. The wide-angle view covers a good area, and motion tagging with object identification adds a nice layer of functionality. I’m currently running five of these as part of my full NVR system (see my other reviews), and they’ve been reliable with no issues. They’re not motorized or adjustable like PTZ cameras, but for fixed coverage areas, they work great and keep things simple. If you need dependable, good-quality cameras for a hardwired system, these are a solid option. Simple Setup. Clear Coverage.

Perfect for inside house
Good quality. Use these for inside my house and I like the quality of them. Easy to put up. Maybe 5 minutes. The POE takes longer. Very clear quality if you set the settings up good

4k Camera is great! (updated)
(UPDATE) I have to give it up to Reolink's customer service. They reached out to me to resolve my issues and to provide a very reasonable resolution to the issue that I had. Long story short, I received an updated NVR and I was able to hook up the 4k camera. I compared it to my 5MP camera and it does stand out and I was impressed. I am able to read the license plate of vehicles as they drive through the culdesac and the picture quality is nice. Installation was easy because the current holes on the wall lined up with the new camera as well. FYI - the older model NVRs are not compatible. When I received the newer NVR, it was slightly different from the one that I had. (Previous) purchased several of reolink products within the last 2 years. I started with the $500 NVR kit and over time added several additional cameras as the camera quality increased. Overall, I was content although they had issues here and there. When the 4k camera rolled out, I was excited to get it so I can see how it compares to the 5MP ones that I have. If I liked it, I was hoping to replace them out with addiional 4k cameras. To my major disappointment, these D800 cameras did not work with my 8CH NVR RLN8-410 although they advertise it as such. When my 4k camera did not sync, I was advised the older RLN8-410 did not work! Although it claimed it worked with ONLY 8CH NVRs, this is not true. There's no upgrade you can do other then to buy a whole new NVR.

Good quality non-Wi-Fi camera works well in our livestock barn.
The Resolink 4-K is not a Wi-Fi camera (wired) but provides a good black & white image allowing us to monitor our livestock.

Good picture and person/vehicle detection (motion not so much)
The picture quality is good. Not great, it can't possibly be with the 8Mbps stream bandwidth at 8MP resolution. It can be used stand-alone or connected to a NVR; standalone can record on an SD card or store on a FTP server. The person/vehicle detection works great if you tweak the parameters a bit for minimum/maximum size plus duration. Motion detection is useless unless you place it indoors - too sensitive or too insensitive. There are severe compression artifacts with only 8Mbps bandwidth - to the point where you'd wonder if it's 8MP or just an upscaled 2MP sensor, but it's a security camera, not one for wining an Oscar. Night vision is good to about 60ft realistically. If there is a real floodlight to assist then the image is quite good. Even moonlight helps at greater distances. Push notifications are a bit annoying, going as often as 30sec and there is no picture or app deeplink to play from the event attached to the notification, all you can do is go to the live view. Emailed pictures for events on the other side are spot on (for person/vehicle). Some features are lost if you connect the camera to the monitoring ports of the Reolink NVR, but if you have it on the LAN side you can access them (such as pet detection) via the app. In all not bad given the price, features and image quality, plus it works seamlessly with the Reolink NVR.

Reolink Cameras Are Great!
Reolink cameras have been a great addition for me. I have installed Reolink cameras on multiple homes and businesses. The company stands behind of their products anytime I have had an issue (which is not often!). The quality is better than one would expect.

REOLINK are the BEST Cameras, hands down!
I have 6 cameral in the perimeter of my home. I love the the 4K view on my monitor. This camera was an ADD ON to my existing system. And took 90 seconds to connect to my existing NVR which has a beautiful, clean interface, and setting up your cameras is a breeze. The quality, night vision is outstanding!

A Disposable Camera
They're good when they work, but I have had to replace as many as I have had to purchase. I have tried multiple models, none of which have held up in the rain. The connectors are ridiculous. You either have to drill massive holes in the walls or leave the connectors outside. Unfortunately, their proprietary water-proofing just doesn't work. On top of that, even when the cameras do work, they really don't. For example, this morning, I went to play back an event that should have been captured on four cameras. One camera worked on the app for maybe ten minutes. One camera caught the event in a couple of clips (as it should have). Two other cameras were not triggered and never recorded the event, even though they were properly triggered for previous events. The app is flaky. Works best on one of my Android devices, but even then I would give it a C+. The web access is clunky and inconvenient. For the most part, the technical support staff is nice, but getting a warranty repair on a camera is a hassle-and-a-half. They force you to go through the same questions and process over and over even when it's clear the camera needs to be replaced. I keep hoping the quality gets better because I don't want to start switching to another brand and having to use multiple apps. But the writing is on the wall. Soon I'll be forced to spend several hundred dollars to replace every camera with another brand. 10-15-2025 UPDATE: Lost two cameras from moderate rains last night. This model and a PTZ that cost twices as much.
