Colorday Bird Cage Cover

My boy, Harley, loves this cover! He is a loud too at bedtime!!! Normally he rips the cover off, this one he does not!! He quiets right down when time to sleep! Be sure to measure your cage. I just guessed and it was 6" short, next size up was perfect!!! The magnets are strong!!! It folds up easier than any other cover(s) we have tried.This cover is for a cage with a play top and drawer under it only! One person said the bird decal was distracting, I put it to the back. Even turning it inside out, it works great. I saw no difference. The material is much nicer, studier, and will hold up better than the PH one I have been using , previous ones that Harley destroyed, or did not hold up. It does keep it dark in the cage, the fit helps to keep drafts out at night. The only con was, on my part by not measuring first! I do wish I had bought it the last time I needed a new cover, the price deterred me, and now I paid more buying the one that did not hold up instead of this one!!! I bought this cover November 2024, it is now January 2025 and the magnets are failing, especially on the ends, both sides. I am now holding that part on with large clips. It fits great, and was great while all magnets work. I now give it a 2/5.

What a great idea! Had to purchase this one immediately! Material is perfect weight, very well made. Fits our cage with playground perfect! Magnets attach to each side and covers entire cage from bottom of playground to bottom edge of the cage. It’s super easy to attach at bedtime and remove in morning.

This is the 3rd cover I have purchased from Colorday. These. Are. Awesome! Super easy to use, well made, and they have strong magnets. These covers also come out great in the wash! I do use two on my larger cage because it is not a play top cage so I cover it with the first cover that I purchased from them. Highly recommend, great product!

This is perfect for blocking out light, and my bird stays silent as soon as I put it on and stays asleep until the second I take it off. It’s so easy to put around the cage, and there’s even extra length for it to overlap which I kind of like because it blocks out any excess light in the front. The magnets are also very strong, and it stays set in place nicely. I like how easy it is to fold and store away each night, and the design on the front may be slightly tacky, but it allows me to know which side is the front and back easier.

This cover is very high quality and extremely easy to use. The dimension description is confusing. The 61" is the 'length', not the height. In this case, the length is the 'wrap-around' edge at the top of the cage as shown in picture. The 'height' of the cover is only 30-some inches. I have a 60" tall cage and this cover was far too short so I had to return it. It is a truly awesome cover and I hope they will make one for taller cages.

Fits my Prevue cage perfectly, has strong magnets and completely darkens the cage. The cloth is just enough to dip into the seed guard around the bottom.My cockatiel immediately quiets and sleeps when using this cover. I would like a different design on the cloth but at least you can just turn it around to cover the bird illustration on the front. It does everything it says it does. It is not designed to cover the top of the cage, and there is no reason to be concerned your bird cannot breath. Thought the cloth is tightly woven, it seems to be a shiny polyester, it is not a heavy cloth or a tight fit to the cage, in fact it has enough cloth to cover one side of the cage twice, which can leave room for adaptability to fit a different cage. The magnets are strong enough to keep the double covered side neatly supported without slack. I have yet to wash this cover, but being polyester, it will probably hang on to dander,feathers,and seed hulls somewhat, especially at the bottom.

The bird cage cover does a great job at keeping the cage nice and dark for my two parrots. It is not fully blackout as I can see some light bleeding through, but the amount varies depending on the intensity of light you are attempting to block. I typically use it when it is bed time, but I still need the lights on in the room, and for that purpose, it works great. The fabric is very light weight and feels smooth. Due to the light weight nature, I have some reservations about its ability to withstand being chewed by my parrots, but so far, it has worked well. The cover is easy to attach to the cage with it's magnets. They are individual circular magnets placed every 6-8 inches (not a long magnet strip as I was assuming), with a rigid thin spacer between each magnet to help keep the upper fabric from sagging. The magnets are pretty strong and hold well; however, if you try to fold the fabric onto itself in order to open the cover without completely removing the fabric from the cage, the magnets can really only support 2-3 folds/overlaps before they start to lose strength due to the weight. My cage (without the leg height and play top height) measures 22"(W) x 24"(L) x 47"(H) and I purchased the 68" version. The cover fits it perfectly with a 6"-8" of overlap to spare. Overall, I really like this cover. The quality feels great, the magnets have good strength, and the fit matched exactly as the description noted. As long as your birds don't bite or chew it, I am confident it will last for many years!

This cage cover for play top cages is the best thing since sliced bread! It fits my 19.2” X 19.2” Petsmart cage almost perfectly (there is a 3/4” gap in the front where the panel’s ends overlap, but the cage is still completely covered by the overlap. The gap is purely aesthetic and barely noticable). Magnets work like a charm, and the adorable sun conure appliqué makes an easy reference point for easy application. You do need to be able to reach over the top of the cage, around to the back of the cage to place the magnets, which is just very, very slightly awkward, but not an issue for me as I am tall with long arms. To be able to keep the bird covered and sleep in, waking him at 9AM when the rest of us get up is a dream that I thought I would have to give up with a play top cage. A great, innovative and rather affordable product I highly recommend!
