Annual Must
I've used this product for several years now. Each February or March I apply it to my crepe myrtles to keep the black scale and various burrowing insects out. One year I skipped application and my trees paid the price for it. There was a noticeable difference between the year I skipped and the following year. The trees produced far more leaves and colorful blooms. No more pesky scale or insects, too. One annual application with this is all it takes to keep your trees beautiful, blooming, and healthy. I do wish the container was a little bigger for my larger trees, but purchasing additional bottles is worth it.

The only way to fight scale!
I have 3 maple trees that started popping up with hard scale about 3 years ago. I didn’t even know what scale was until I saw our neighbor’s trees that were completely covered in them and then starting spotting the ugly beasts on my beautiful trees.I tried everything from scrubbing off, smothering them and scraping them off (at least what I could reach) using every different spray on treatment under the sun and unfortunately only spraying a mixture of canola oil and water on the hose sprayer seemed to slightly help, but it was a huge mess and I felt like the neighborhood idiot every time I had to go outside and spray my trees down. I’m a tree lover, most ppl just don’t understand. Then I learned that ants actually farm scale. Yes ants introduce the scale to the trees and then they take advantage of the sap that the scale gain access to. So I noticed thousands of ants climbing up and down my maples which I tried to stop with multiple remedies like Vaseline and sticky wraps but nothing could stop the ants. On top of that my trees were always surrounded by flies, yellow-jackets and wasps all of these bugs are just taking advantage of the scale giving them easy access to the sweet maple sap.Long story short, my maples were crawling with pests and they were driving me nuts. Then I read somewhere about some old farmer mentioning using this BioAdvanced 12 month treatment and how it worked from the inside out and only needs one treatment every year so much better than spraying my trees 20ft trees every 6 weeks! So I applied to each tree first thing this spring and honestly the difference was night and day. No scale! I only saw one scale the entire year which I’m pretty sure was dead from last year. No ants! No flies! No wasps or yellow-jackets! My trees just looked and seemed so much happier this year and so am I!

Miracle for the Crepe Myrtle!
Our Crepe Myrtle has white bugs all over it. The tree was looking sad w/bees and wasps all over it too. We read some reviews on this product and gave it a try vs cutting branches off of the crepe Myrtle in June. 3 weeks later, white bugs, bees, and wasps are all gone! It really is a miracle! I highly recommend the product if you have the white bugs, bees, wasps, swarming the tree, and black mold-like substance on the tree.

Doesn't go a long way....but!
This is a highly rated solution for trees that have insect issues especially around the roots and bark. You mix with a gallon of water according to the circumference of the tree trunk measured at 4 1/2 feet above ground. For multiple trunks like a crepe myrtle, you have to measure the circumference of all the trunks and add them together and multiply by .75. My crepe myrtles for which I purchased this, totaled 23" and 28" respectively so .75 x 51 = 38.25. Since you mix 1 oz per inch of circumference, that pretty much used the whole bottle. I did 2 crepe myrtles and 2 river birches with 3 bottles. Hopefully this solves my insect and bark problem. Again this is highly rated for effectiveness. Just make sure you order enough product, bottle(s) for your trees and bushes.

Works on large pin-Oak tree
Used to get bug residue droppings in Spring from large tree. Have used this for three years. No droppings and the nearby OttoLukens love the product. Has fertilizer built in. Have used on Holly and hedges. All still triving.

Great for Magnolia Scale
If you have Magnolia trees that appear to be dripping sap, that gets all over and attracts wasps, this is the solution. This is a plant food and insecticide in one. I like that it's granular because it contains a strong insecticide to kill the magnolia Scale, and it ends up under the mulch where animals are less likely to come in contact with it.To use this you dig a trench around your tree like the directions suggest and pour the granules in there. Apply in early spring is what the container says but the first time I put it down in the fall. It lasts a year so I suggest putting it down when you notice the problem them reapply early spring to keep things on track. The thing is that once you notice the sap it's too late for that year but by doing the treatment you can get a head start on it being gone for the following season.I hate using insecticides but it was either this or cut the tree down. I use a whole jug on our tree which is a little more than suggested. I've been using it for several years with good success. The only issue I have is that it's tough to open the lid. Last year I had to break into it with pruning sheers so this year I asked my husband to open it. It has a child proof cap that you have to squeeze and hold to open and I think it might be easier to do if you have a bigger hand.Other than that it's easy to use. I bury it deep enough so that my dog does not get it on her in case she goes near that tree. Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Fill and seal the product Bayer.
Bayer "Bioadvanced" products perform decently. My issues are this item arrived with no seal underneath the cap. This coupled with the product being half empty led me to believe someone likely purchased it and used half before returning it... all before it was sent to me. Bayer will likely claim product 'settling may occur', however shipping a half empty plastic container is wasteful.
