These Zomchi razors tend to have pretty good ratings, but a lot of the reviews and interest in them is from women. As someone who has been shaving with a safety razor for many years now, it's awesome to see women getting into safety razors, but girls shave differently from us guys so I wanted to write a review as a guy.*I will say it bluntly right here, if you are a guy or girl in the market for a safety razor, or are on the fence about trying one, buy this Zomchi razor right now. You won't regret it, and neither will your wallet.This razor is great value for money. Beautiful design with nice machining. Construction is very sturdy and even the threads that screw into the head into are top quality. On top of that, the razor has a black coating that will prevent rust later down the road and protect the longevity of the razor.Shaving my face, this razor gave me a really smooth, close, quick shave with a feather brand blade. I wasn't having to come back and make extra passes. It cut sideburns easily and got the difficult areas other razors tended to nick.If you try the Zomchi blades it comes with and you don't like them, there are so many other brands available with different characteristics. With the right blade this razor will be amazing for everyone.-Long story short, if you are looking for a quality razor at an affordable price that simply gets the job done, this is the razor for you.

Ladies - I decided to give this a try after a friend said it helped with razor burns/bumps. It definitely helped. No razor burns or bumps, HOWEVER, at what cost? I was not ready for the level of mental and physical focus this blade requires. I absolutely fileted myself the first time using it. After much determination and practice, I have found the following to be true:1. You will never say, or even think, "I'll just do a quick shave" in the presence of this razor. NEVER let it sense your weakness or desperation. It will bleed you dry.2. No razor bumps or burns! Nice smooth shave (if you are a practiced surgeon and can avoid skinning yourself alive).3. Nice feel to the actual handle.4. Even when you think you have successfully shaved without hurting yourself, you'll find little points of blood where the razor took time to assert it's dominance over you.In all, the product doesn't lie. It's what it says it is and does a dang good job. But just stay focused, stay determined, and don't let it find any bumps/changes of skin/wrinkles.

I put off buying a product like this for years out of fear, I wish I could take all that time back. This was the most affordable option I have found and even if comparing it to a more expensive version I don’t think I would be able to find a difference. This has provided the closest, smoothest, safest shave I have ever experienced in any area. No more bumps, no more strawberry legs, and much less painful cuts. Easy to clean and replace blades.

I’ve tried three different brands of safety razors (including this one) and 4 years later I’m buying a second to leave at my shore house. My original safety razor from a zero waste store but dangerously sharp and the one I’m replacing this with is still pretty sharp and heavy. After a weekend away with my other brand razor, I have too many nicks to count.How does this one stand out?It’s like and doesn’t slipEasy to replace the bladesGives me an incredible shave with nicks only when I’m rushing.So excited to have two of them!

I've struck out over and over again with safety razors. I finally relented and looked up safety razors for women as if there should be a difference, but hey... maybe there is and I'm unaware. After all, I'm not shaving a beard so perhaps there's something in that with the angle or whatnot. This one was top rated for women. I even tried to check for female reviewers, and this was so promising.... but...First use, it did seem to do a good job on my leg, at first glance. (I had two razors so pitted them one on the left side, one of the right). Later on, though, after drying off and lotion settling in, my leg felt prickly/grainy which is not typical if I use a good razor.Moving on to shaving the bikini area, I was pretty unimpressed. It did alright. Mind you, my hair is dark, on the thicker side, and generally straight but in areas, it lays flat so it can be harder to get the hair to be picked up with some razors. All in all, though, it did ok in that area though definitely not at all a close shaveUnderarms were alright, as well, a little better than the legs but still not great, either.I was prepared to give this razor a second shot. I did that today. My razor blade should have been fine. I didn't shave a ton with it last time and if I throw in legs, I usually get about 2 uses (unless my hair was long but it wasn't). The razor did literally nothing. It picked up NO hair. I changed the blade just in case though there's just no way the blade was THAT bad. Still, new blade... absolutely nothing. It didn't shave a thing this time. I tried both my leg and my bikini area. This is a total disappointment for me.If anyone is curious, I did treat it properly. I took it apart, removed the blade, cleaned it all. After that, I patted it dry and set it in a dry area just in case there were any spots still damp that I missed. I let it dry fully disassembled.This thing is going back considering it is nothing more than a paperweight at this point.

The razor did its job but you couldn’t really shave in the shower. You really have to concentrate on the right angle and i found that hard to do and kind of an inconvenience. Also to be a “safety” razor i got the worst cut i have ever had due to shaving. Over all the basic packs from Target or Walmart you can get for half the price are better than this razor, so save your money and purchase the cheaper ones.
