Langger V Biometric Rifle Gun Safe,Quick Access 5-Gun Large Improved Fingerprint Shotgun Security Cabinet for Rifle Shotgun w/o Scopes with Pistol Lock Box,Removable Storage Shelf (New Biometric Safe)

I'm really happy with this rifle cabinet. I was really set on a Vaultek but there wasn't enough justification for the 3-4x price difference. I really just need something I could access in a reasonable amount of time and is robust enough to keep my kids out. The more expensive options are undoubtedly better in build quality but build quality here is more than sufficient for my and most people's needs. The biometric access works well and it's nice to have the digital keypad backup in case your hands are wet, the packaging was sufficient to avoid damage, the internal lockbox is nice to separate ammo from the firearms. Tips: * Make sure you bolt this thing to the wall, it isn't a heavy safe and on carpet the door is heavy enough to tip it over. I used 2 2x6s lag bolted (use forstner bits to get the lag bolts flush to the wood) to the wall studs and then used short lag bolts to secure the safe to the 2x6s. * I swapped out the lockbox lock for a digital cabinet lock to remove the annoyance of keys. * I mounted a 64 LED light bar vertically near the hinge and 20 LED light bar underneath and inside the lockbox to provide automatic lighting. * I also ran a USB cable into the safe to provide low voltage power for temp/humidity monitoring (you'll need to cut the usb connector off and then rejoin it inside the safe). * I took the door panel off to take a look at things and there's lots of possibilities if you're handy with electronics and want to create additional ways to actuate the unlocking mechanism (it's a simple 5V solenoid). Customer Service: I'm actually surprised how nice Langger has been, I did the warranty registration and got an email from them with thanks and an offer for the door panel organizer at no cost to me. It arrived quickly and gives more storage options for pistols or other random things you might want to keep organized. They even followed up with an email to make sure I received it. It's nice knowing that if a problem came up that there's someone responsive on the other end to address it. If you're looking to keep firearms away from people in your house that shouldn't handle them without supervision at a reasonable price, this can't be beat.

Fantastic safe, has never failed to open except for when the batteries ran out once; I used the key to open it then. However, there is an EXTERNAL battery pack that you can plug into the keypad to temporarily power the keypad to open it should the primary batteries have ran out of power. 5/5 stars, fits my intended use perfectly (to keep little ones out).

I selected the Langger Rifle safe for its features such as fingerprint access, keycode access, and keyed access. Having 3 modes for backup was important to me. Price was another reason, initially. The built-in lockable storage, shelf option, and fully-carpeted floor, doors, and shelf were also considered. I own several rifles, handguns, and a 12GA, along with ammo, and was concerned that they all wouldn't fit. I was wrong. As small as it looks, it fits a lot. As you can see by the pictures & video, it tucks in nicely near bedrooms for quick access. I've also seen photos of owners putting it in closets, which it will definitely fit (I don't have a lot of closet space :-) My main reason for the purchase was to secure weapons and ammo from visitors, children, and the occasional inebriated guest! It's solid, but not quite like a $3000+ safe you see elsewhere. I could break into it with an angle grinder, but if anyone breaks in with one, they wouldn't get to it in time ;-) The fingerprint reader is my only concern, but read the directions that instructs you when you register a print, use 3 different angles to record it, and your thumb or middle finger work best. Overall, I'm pleased with the Langger rifle safe for what I need it for. I'm certainly impressed with the customer service (thank you, Alan!) that have been very supportive, and received a door hanger that includes 3 pistol sleeves, a zippered pouch, and large document pouch/holder. I definitely would recommend the Langger safe for individuals with a few weapons to keep prying fingers away from dangerous things that don't particularly need something bomb-proof, and for the price, does exactly as it was intended without breaking the wallet. -- CJ

We were looking for a smaller form factor safe to hold 5-6 rifles, a couple of pistols and a few other things. It absolutely had to fit within a specific small space. Safe arrived within a few days. Was packaged excellently and we received it with ZERO damage in perfect condition. Fits perfectly into the space we were looking to install it. Works a charm. No issues with fingerprint reader for myself or my wife. Resetting combo is easy if you read directions. Number lock works well and having the key is welcome backup option. Has more than enough room for our needs. As other reviewers have suggested we did also add some Kutek motion sensing LED lights (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010Y1U1JO?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) which makes the safe and lock box easily useable in the dark. When I registered the safe with the manufacturer I received a nice email for a free door organiser and we are currently awaiting its arrival and will update review when received. Overall, so far a pleasureable experience. We are very happy we bought this product and looking to purchase another albeit smaller unit from this manufacturer in the near future.

I purchased this safe in June of 2022 and am very happy with it. I have it installed in my closet and have it anchored to the wall to keep it sturdy and also to prevent theft. I would have installed the anchors in the bottom as well if I knew it was there to stay, but I planned on putting up a closet system in the future and I may end up moving it to another part of the closet. The included lock box inside gives extra protection and piece of mind for storing important documents, cash, or even just extra ammo. There is a setup where you can require both a fingerprint and numeric code and I have chosen that for even more piece of mind. The only thing I do not like about it is the wheel on the control panel sometimes does not close on the first try. I noticed that one time when I took some items out to go to the range. When I returned something didn't seem right. I turned the door handle and it opened right up. Therefore, my only advice is to double check that the wheel is turned all the way, then triple check by trying to turn the handle to ensure it is locked as intended to prevent unwanted access. Also, this is a locked cabinet, not a heavy duty safe. It works for my needs, but if you want something that is going to break someone's back trying to get out of your house or trying to force it open, this is not it (I believe it weighs just under 100 pounds). I would imagine a determined burgler with the right tools could probably get into it within about five minutes. However, I figure most people don't have x-ray vision, so they don't know what I have and where I keep it, so the setup I have and having it anchored to the wall studs works just fine for me. I have seen others mention that the company provides gun safe organizers and magnetic mount holders for a discounted cost (or even free in some instances) and I have reached out to the company to inquire about those accessories. That would make this purchase even better! Be safe out there and lock up your guns! Keep them out of those curious (or dirtbag) hands that don't need to be handling firearms!

I purchased the Langger V Biometric Rifle Gun Safe (Model: LAN01XM) and I am very pleased with my purchase. It is just the right size for the space I have and since it is a deeper rifle safe too than most safes available in the market, my rifles fit even with the optics attached. The keypad and Biometric system works flawlessly and setup was a breeze. I love the idea that you have 3 ways to open the safe and the backup battery pack provided is a plus. For security, this safe has 5 solid cylindrical latches instead of just 3 found on most safes. This is an excellent budget safe for the home and I highly recommend it.

The plastic cover that holds the battery in place came off, some how the clip no longer holds battery in place. I've reached out to them at least 3 times, never responsed back to me. Not even Amazon customer service. The Pros: Lightweight, easy to move around; for me at least. Biometric/Numpad setup is fairly straight forward, nothing complicated. Is not Fort Knox , but it fits my needs, and my wallet. The Cons: NOt a big deal, but the mounting hardware that came with the safe is for mounting on cement. Since this is going on top of carpet/wood, I purchased my own screwed. I used 3/8 diameter/ 1 1/2 inch screws with washer, see picture. The problem mounting this safe on carpet is it lean forward at an angle. This is because the mounting holes location is towards the front, not centered. What I had to do was to slide a 1 inch thick stick under the safe toward the front, so when the screws is mounted down, it will not lean forward. Ideally, I wish it had 4 mounting holes evenly distributed. The shelf holders on the slots that holds the shelf in place is NOT removable (see picture). It be nice if is removable. Again, overall is a decent gun safe for what i've paid for. Not nit picking, but wanted point things out that could use the improvement. It would nice to see if they can add accessories with different mounting options, like a modular approach.

The locking mechanism works well along with the finger print reader. Yes the metal is thin but what do you expect at this price point. My main issues are with the lack of quality the gun rest on the inside right of the safe was broken and barely hanging on, there is rust near weld points where the paint has chipped off, there was also a large chip on the bottom of the outside. It's a lock box that will do it's job, but I might have to paint some parts to prevent further rusting. Update 11/28/2021 Contacted customer service they sent me a replacement for the broken part and a door organizer for free. Costumer service was quick to respond and ship items. Had some extra black spray paint so I hope that stops the rust spots.

Really happy with my purchase, this is a good quality safe/cabinet especially considering the price point. Once it’s bolted to the ground and wall she ain’t going anywhere. Fit perfectly in my small closet and had zero issues with the install or electrical components. Really makes you feel like John Wick with the biometric entrance. I wanted to post pictures but unfortunately with our liberal government and how they've been treating licensed PAL holders in this country I didn’t feel comfortable posting anything to do with our limited dying sport here in Canada. That aside if your on the fence with this one go for it

Decent cabinet. Would hesitate to call it a 'safe' but it's sturdy and keeps firearms out of sight and secure from little ones running around. I can't use the shelf when I have shotguns in it, because they're too tall and I can't mount the shelf any higher, which is a bit of a bummer. The ammo safe inside holds more boxes of shells than I thought it would. I like the passcode and fingerprint feature, however the fingerprint reader doesn't always read my finger the first try. I often have to try a few times. The reader has a lot of memory to store prints and I've had it scan multiple angles of my finger to help ensure it will read me, but I still have to redo my attempts to access. Perhaps you need to input much more than you think necessary, not sure. Also, the numbers I use for my code are wearing off already, and I haven't had it for more than a year yet. These are minor annoyances. All in all, for someone who doesn't own a ton of firearms, this does the trick.

Dans un premier temps j’ai reçu le coffre bien avant la date prévue. Maintenant pour activer le code rien de très compliqué très simple et pratique. Il me reste à activer les empreintes pour profiter de l’accès rapide mais ne semble pas être très difficile. Qualité du produit excellent rapport qualité/prix, surtout avec le jour prime day!! Le seule point où je pourrais suggéré pour amélioration serait celui de mettre un clavier illuminé pour mieux voir les chiffres du clavier lorsque c’est sombre.. De plus j’ai ajouté des lumières au led a l’intérieur avec un détecteur de mouvement lorsque j’ouvre la porte de mon coffre pour ainsi voir a l’intérieur. Je recommande fortement ce produit.
