Brick Doughs - Feuilles de Brick - 10 sheets - (Pack of 2)

After having read the reviews, I thought this was going to be shipped in a high quality manner. People said it came rolled, so it wouldn't crack and was kept cold with an ice pack. When I received my 1 package out of the 2 that I ordered, it was folded in 1/4's and the ice pack was all melted. It was room temperature and I'm sure it's not going to work for what I wanted it to. And why in the world are they sending the 2 packages separately??? They're coming from the same place, why not send them together. My only hope is the 2nd package is wrapped better. I will not order this again!

I ordered this product to make a Turkish dish called Borek. I had taken a cooking class in Istanbul and although they referred to the dough a File, it clearly was different, it was thicker and would become elastic when moistened. I took a chance and ordered this. Although I agree that packaging wasn't great, my ice pack was cold. I was a little worried because the sheets were folded. I put them in the freezer. A few weeks later I used the first package to make my first batch of Borek. Although the edges of the dough were a bit dry, a spray of water revived them and both my husband and a Turkish friend judged them to be good, crisp cheese and meat Borek. The real test came just this week when we had another friend visiting from Turkey so I pulled out the second package that had been in a regular freezer for months. Again, the edges were even more dry but a spritz of water from a spray bottle revived them and they were easy to manipulate without cracking and again a successful batch of Borek.

Precisely, exactly what I was looking for. Quality was perfect! I made b'stilla with duck and fabulous spices and it was received with raves.

Unfortunately, when I received this product I was leaving on a two week trip abroad. Although the date on the package is way out into July 2023, the product was unusable after a mere two and a half weeks because it hardened at the edges. I found this purchase to be a waste of money and quite expensive. Maybe if we had been able to eat it immediately we would have had a different experience. Not sure.

This is a refrigerated product packed in an insulated bag with two bags of melted ice. The ice bags were warm so it is not like the ice just melted. Now I can't use it.

Loved it and it was authentic

I needed this for a dinner Christmas and it came just in time. It was packed very well and was fresh and cooked up just great!
