Has put the spring back into my dogs steps
After reading a few reviews here saying this product caused upset stomachs for some pets, I contacted PhyCox via their website to see if I could get a free sample before purchasing this. My Boxer has a sensitive stomach so I didn't want to get something that's suppose to help her joint problem but inversely cause another problem. First, I have to say, PhyCox must really believe in their product because not only did they send me free samples, they sent enough for the initial period start up of this medicine, six weeks worth. Our Boxer had no stomach problems whatsoever with these and she eats these like she's getting a special treat. Before the six weeks was up, we knew we would be buying this medicine for our Boxer, because after two weeks we started noticing she wasn't limping as bad in the morning then by the four week mark she was hopping up and down off her spot on the couch with no problems and she started playing with our six month old Boston Terrier puppy, who she ignored or growled at before. In the past, we would have to help help her up onto the couch and she had noticeable limp after laying down for a long period of time or she would try to walk without using that one back leg.We have now been giving our Boxer these chews for over six months and have found that the effect of them have been consistent. We are still happy with their effectiveness. On raining days, she does have a slight limp return but I don't think there is any medicine out there that will completely remove the joint problems, especially those associated with arthritis. For a little background, our Boxer had to have surgery on one of her back legs to remove build up in her joint that was causing her limp. The surgery helped with her limp but after a few years the limp became more pronounced because of arthritis. We were told to give her low dose aspirin to the help with her pain which worked at first but after a time seemed to not help much. So I went on the hunt for something better. For a time we gave her glucosamine which helped some but I felt there had to be something more we could do for and searched some more and until I came across PhyCox Soft Chews which have turned into our miracle for our Boxer. Here's recommended initial and maintenance usage for these based on your dog's weight:Initial Administration (4 to 6 week period):Weight Amount5-15 lb 1/2 chew daily16-30 lb 1 chew daily31-60 lb 2 chews daily61-100 lb 4 chews dailyOver 100 lb 5 chews dailyMaintenance Administration:Weight Amount5-15 lb 1/2 chew every other day16-30 lb 1/2 chew daily31-60 lb 1 chew daily61-100 lb 2 chews dailyOver 100 lb 2 1/2 chews daily

Saved me a small fortune
About a year ago my 8 year old Rottweiler started limping and favoring her hind leg. Our vet put her on some anti-inflammatory meds and when that didn't help referred us to a specialist who took one 2 minute exam of her leg and said she needed knee replacement surgery - at nearly $4000 a pop. Instead of taking the vet specialist's offer up of getting our dog into surgery immediately, we brought her home and I hit up the internet for some research. Noting that this surgery would be putting my dog through a lot physically, in addition to the cost of it all, I decided to give "conservative management" a try first. I purchased this product because of the great reviews and it seemed the best quality, and for the next four months we kept our dog on strict limited movements: no jumping, stairs and only short, slow walks so she could relieve herself. I am overjoyed to say that she has healed fully, with NO LIMPING AT ALL going on over 8 months now and walks perfectly normal!! She even has been feeling frisky with weather cooling and I've caught her running and playing with our other dog outside. I'm sure the restricted movement was part of her recovery - just giving the injury time to heal up, but I do believe that this product (Phycox) made a HUGE difference in how well she's gotten back to her old self. Plus all the money it saved me from spending on the surgery. In my opinion, if anyone has a dog that is being considered for knee surgery that doesn't seem to be a result of a direct, major accident take some time and try this with lots of rest for your dogs legs and you might save yourself from a large, unneeded expense as well.

WOW this stuff is makes miracles happen!! People think my dog has been touched by John Coffey!
I got this from my vet in early September, didn't beleive i'd see a difference, my $65 (thats what it costs at my vet) would be wasted and that would be that....BOY WAS I WRONG. I had actually stopped taking Sam (10 y/o lab/wheaton mix) mountain biking with me as of last May. He would just be TOO sore and stiff the next day so the days of him running with me as i biked throught the woods (usually 8-10 miles) were over. I pretty religiously gave him the recommended dose 2 in the morning and 2 at night. after about 2-3 weeks I started to notice he had a little more gitty up and go during our walk/runs. ( i usually took him about 3 miles) then toward the end of September he did an over 4 mile hike with us (he is off the leash running as he pleased) and there was NO soreness or stiffness the day after. More recently we hiked 14 miles with him, again off the leash for most of that, and he was absolutely fine the next day. Two days after our 14 mile hike, i ran him over 4 miles....Its like he's 4 again!!! I was getting ready to get a new container from the vet, but On a whim i checked amazon for this product and am pleased I'll be able to get it here for almost $20 cheaper than my vet.I only gave it 4 stars cuz Sam doesnt seem to LOVE the flavor. Other than that i really recommend you try it. I had 2 other full bred Labs that i think really would have benefited from this. Too bad it wasn't around when they were.
