Versatile with many uses
Got these for hone automation project. I wanted to know when my oil boiler pump and burner were on. My initial solution was to use relays to detect when the pump and burner were energised, but I didnt fancy adding wiring to the boiler. By adding one of these to the boiler supply, I can determine what state the boiler is on without having to do anything internally. Nice tidy solution.

It does the job but do not expect accuracy.
I need to measure between 2 and 9 amps in both directions so this 20A version is ideal. I do not require accuracy which is good because this does not deliver that. At 2 amps, it can vary by about +-8%. The load connector block is poor with little grip on the cables. I replaced them with better, larger ones. The output centres at about Vss / 2. I used a 10k / 22k divider to drive my ESP32 input centred at 1.66 volt.
