Our freezer did not come with a light. This great light works just as well as a factory freezer light does. And the adhesive for the velcro hasn't moved. Only downside is the battery life is just weeks, shorter than I thought.

The light is very bright, and once we got it, the package directions say it is dangerous if you look at the light. That's not good! But it went through the battery very fast, & thats why we thought it didn't come on, but it quit coming on about 1 to 2 week after the warranty expired. It simply dose not work!

I almost didn’t buy this because of the battery life reviews. But it’s the only light I could find that will withstand sub freezing temperatures. The newer models of top freezer refrigerators don’t have lights so I figured what the heck. So I invested $15 to see. I did some research on what type batteries will work in cold temps. I knew that batteries in general do not withstand cold. I read that lithium ion batteries do. I had just received a rechargeable set of AAAs from a friend so popped 2 in. The light has been operating perfectly for going on 3 weeks. It gives decent light / as good as the factory light on my old fridge. So my fingers are crossed. Considering that the only option is no freezer light I will have to deal with recharging. I will come back and update this review once I see how this goes. But really, what are you going to do, besides keep a flashlight on your fridge.

Does what it says, lights up the freezer. Found that after several weeks it stops working, way to fast for batteries to go bad. Found that the batteries get too cold. So I take it out for a few hours and then it works fine again.

Update: After one month, the battery stopped working. My freezer does not get opened very often so I do not understand why the battery is finished. May be because of extreme cold? But, in any case, not a positive result. Took off 2 stars with this new finding.Just recently switched back to top-freezer refrigerator after having a bottom one with a light. I keep a lot of food in freezer so the darkness was a disadvantage. Tried to use a flashlight but that did't seem like a good long-term solution. When I found this light on Amazon, it seemed the answer to my situation. And it WAS. The sensor brings light the moment I open the freezer door and sheds light on entire compartment. I did not fasten it to the freezer wall and just have it lying on shelf so I can shine it directly where I'm searching for something. The hassle of unfastening it when the battery needs changing didn't seem worth it. Can't speak to how long the batteries last cause have only been using for a week.

I am so pleased with this light. I wanted some kind of light in my top freezer. This is perfect. It doesn't take much space and does a great job. It comes on when I open the door!!!

I always use new batteries. Initially installed this device in my freezer on March 13, 2023. Batteries died May 11th. Seemed generally reasonable getting nearly 2 months out of it. Light worked well. Installed brand new batteries that died June 28th. Started to notice weaker lighting about a week before batteries died. Installed new batteries that died September 10th. Definitely noticed light was much weaker this time around. Installed new batteries that died October 15th. I’ve now resorted to keeping a small flashlight next to the fridge to use for the freezer instead of blasting through new batteries every few weeks. It’s just not worth wasting expensive batteries for this.

Batteries life was short had to replace it after 2 weeks,but works well now!

Works great, open the door and the light shines brightly
