Excellent Simple Coffee Maker for the Stove
Firstly, I'd like to note that the Milano Steel series is solidly built of quality stainless steel. It makes a good cup of coffee, and works well on my glass top (non induction) stove. I bought this because I wanted something that lasted. My previous Moka Pot worked for 1 day and then when I replaced it with a cheap local bought Moka Pot, that one leaked and spilled coffee. The Milano has good seal in the lid in the carafe and a spout that doesn't leak coffee all over when poured. Secondly, a word about the company and their support. They are a small business, and when I inquired about a customer service question, they got right back to me and took care of my needs efficiently and quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this company and their products and please take a look if you are in the market for a good and simple and easy to clean coffee maker (Moka Pot) that makes good coffee.

Love It
Recommended for my coffee lovers. It's made of solid quality and has quite a bit of weight to it even when empty

I use it every day, perfect coffee every time
I've been using this coffee maker an average of once a day since I got it in May. It always makes perfect coffee for me! I grind 4 tablespoons of coffee beans per batch with the maximum water level (just barely touching the bottom of the valve in the reservoir, fills 2 large mugs) and the coffee is strong and smooth without off flavors every time. When tightening down the threaded connection, there is no need to over tighten it. If all of the pots are machined the same, I've found that threading it on until it is just a little snug with the handle oriented over the valve (like in the picture) is just right. This is a very efficient way to get the most out of your coffee beans, it takes at least a couple of weeks to get through a typical 12 ounce bag of beans. Cleaning it daily is a little bit of a chore but it's worth it in my opinion. If you're a busy person and don't have time to wait for it to boil and then clean it every day, it would still make a nice treat for slow mornings and your days off work. During the time I've had it, I moved and have used it with 2 different gas ranges. Not all gas ranges are equal, the range I'm using currently finishes making the coffee in about a third of the time of my previous one (less than 5 minutes starting with cold water). I'm not sure how it is on electric but I imagine it would take quite a bit longer. An aluminum pot might be better for an electric stove (since it conducts heat quickly), but if you have plans to ever get an induction stove like I do this steel pot would work while the aluminum pot would be useless! I love this thing! It's well made, so satisfying to use, not that expensive, and I think it's going to last me for years to come.

Terrific espresso!
All the positive reviews convinced me to buy this little guy and I'm so glad I did. Easy to use, fast and tasty espresso in about 5 min on the cooktop. I have an induction stove and it works great. I also realized when we go to airbnbs I can take it along in my essentials box and know I don't have to figure out someone else's coffee pot. I've been using a Keurig coffee maker for years that brews a whole pot from grounds or individual k-cups, but either method always leaves a bitter taste so I relied on creamer to make mask that. The espresso I brew in this Grosche pot reminds me of ordering from a real coffee shop. I steam milk for a latte while the espresso brews on the cooktop and it's all ready in about the same time. I debated buying one of those fancy professional-for-home >$1000 espresso makers but the price, space it requires and cleanup turned me off. This little pot is so easy to clean up and put away! Love it!

Moka pot
Quality build. Coffee turns out okay compared to My previous Moka pot which was aluminum. Haven’t figured out the difference other than aluminum versus stainless steel, maybe the stainless steel will season and the coffee will just get better with use. My aluminum pot seemed to make a richer tasting coffee. I’m Making it the same way, same coffee, same fine grind, same water and tamping. The capacity will make close to 3-4 cups of coffee, no leaks observed, pours well, looks good, easy to use. Down side here is the expense, up side it will probably still look good a year plus from now compared to an aluminum Moka pot but will the coffee it makes Improve with use, I hope.

Highly Recommend
This coffee maker was to replace an older Italian one that had just plain worn out. I researched heavily. This coffee maker was the finalist among a bunch of others in the same price range. I was hesitant and my expectations were not high since even $150 units were coming in with mixed reviews. Even the Bialetis had mixed reviews. Anyway, I committed and purchased. The coffee maker arrived in its own store box, unpacked. I was almost sure it had experienced some damage since the store box is not designed to protect the unit for shipping. Anyway, the coffeemaker was intact w/o damage. Shipping packaging should still be improved. I think I lucked out. When I opened, the quality craftsmanship was noticeable immediately. It is a beautiful coffee maker. High quality materials. Stainless steel is impecable. It is heavier than the aluminum ones because stainless steel is just a more dense metal. Quality of coffee is as it should be. Operated quietly with a gentle bubbling action which goes silent once complete. Cleaning is always tedious for any coffee maker but this one is a breeze. silicone seals are available from manufacturer. This is a US family owned company with production in Taiwan. Brass pressure relief valves are imported from Italy. Avoid China made products/the reviews were terrible.

Good quality and cute
This is the second one I've bought. I had one before and it lasted me about 5 years. It's very good quality. I use it on a gas stove and the handle doesn't deteriorate from the heat. Good quality and it has a modern look too.

Great that it's stainless steel, but some design quirks to deal with
I purchased this because I really wanted a stainless steel moka coffee maker and because of its size (which you need to know is really just one large mug of coffee). I already had the aluminium Grosche moka pot (9 cup), but because of concerns with aluminium, I decided that for everyday use, I wanted a stainless version. At first I was going to return this one because of the issues I will describe below in the con section, but in the end I decided that the design 'flaws' do not outweigh the benefits of a stainless steel machine. And it makes a great cup of coffee. So here goes: Pros: - Good capacity compared to many moka stovetop coffee makers - Stainless steel (nice and thick, rounded bottom which is nice) - Doesn't leak, good seal while brewing - Pours very well into the cup with no dribbles (my other aluminium Grosche dribbles no matter what I try to do) - Attractive (very nice to leave out on the counter or stove) Cons: - The entire lid is made of stainless steel and it gets very hot. To open the lid, you need to press on a stainless tab that sticks out above the handle (no knob in the middle). Because it's stainless and ver hot, opening the lid while the coffee is brewing requires the use of a cloth (or a spoon to open the lid from the spout). Also, you need to apply some pressure to open the lid (it doesn't just go up and down smoothly). I honestly do not know why they didn't add a piece of silicone or something to the tab at the back so that we don't burn our fingers while trying to peek at the coffee to see if brewing has completed. Although the solid stainless lid is attractive, it would be so much better if it had a knob in the middle like other moka coffee makers so that I could just open it without all the fuss. - The top part, which receives the coffee as it brews, has a moat at the bottom. It's hard to describe, but basically, the bottom is not flat like other moka coffee makers. Instead, there's a central plateau that rises about three-quarters of an inch from the bottom, and it's surrounded by space (like a moat around a castle) that is less than a baby finger's width. I have no idea why it would have been designed this way, but it means that it's hard to clean in that space. I have a very small brush but even that can't get in there properly. So I rinse out the coffee maker as soon as I'm done brewing, but over time, I might want to give it a good cleaning, which will be a challenge. Maybe soaking it in vinegar will work, although I'm not sure that's a good idea for good-tasting coffee. If this design has a specific purpose, then Grosche should include information in the very tiny and not very useful sheet that comes with the coffee maker, to reassure users that it's a great design feature.

Fonctionne parfaitement !

Great product
Great product. I prefer the stainless steel over the aluminum for pure coffee taste - the aluminum leaves a metallic taste in coffee. This is a personal preference, though.

Gets really hot
I love the sturdiness of this pot and it makes excellent coffee/espresso. However, the handle gets extremely hot. And I wish there was some kind of heat protection on the lid flap. Makes it very hard to check if my coffee is done without using a cloth or mitten to open it.
