Nice tank, bit high priced...
So, I finally broke down and decided to buy it and build me a live well on my boat.Lid is not attached to tank so, I will need to order couple of stainless hinges.Drain plug that came with it is too small/hole too big on tank.Pretty heavy construction and hefty plastic. I will need to build me an enclosure and a stand to mount this on, along with some of the plumbing.Price too hefty for "budget" minded, for just a plastic moulded tank.UPDATE: Got the bait tank setup completed, as expected, drain leaks even with 1" plug installed with teflon tape.I'll try a rubber O-ring on the plug and see if that'll keep from leaking.Otherwise I'll have to permanently seal it and drill a hole for a drain valve in that plug.As stated in initial review, I did attach the cover with SS hardware and hinge.Installed aeration pump and looks "O.K" as far as functionality. That's another review.

Great tank after tweaking a little
Great tank. Thick walls. I would recommend this for someone wanting a bait tank on their boat that doesnt mind doing some modifications. First the lid only sits on top. Not a big deal but if you want to keep your lid you will need to add hinges. I used HDPE board .375 thickness as a spacer. Included is picture of the gap that needs filled to place hinges correctly. Stainless 10-24 bolts with nylon locking nuts. The 1" plug is large enough unlike some other reviewers commented on. You have to twist the handle and plug expands like most all boat plugs do. The plug is cheap though and would recommend upgrading to a brass or stainless T handle type. Overall I am pretty happy with this tank I only wish moeller would have had the forethought to include hinge spacers to save some trouble or design the lid more flush for this purpose. Hope this helps if so give a thumbs up

Good, but could be better
If you check out all of the reviews on Moeller livewells, you'll see that everyone comments on the lack of hinges & latches on the lid. I have the same complaint. There's no way that you're not going to lose the lid while towing or cruising the boat, PERIOD. You'll also see complaints about the plug. Mine was in pieces at the bottom of the box. Same for the mounting hardware...Mine was missing too. I'm pretty handy so I was prepared for these issues even before I ordered the livewell. On the upside, the livewell itself will probably last forever, it's that sturdy. I also had to design/plumb the pump because Moeller doesn't seem to offer anything. My biggest disappointment is that there are literally hundreds of identical complaints regarding the hinge, latch & plug issues that Moeller has to be aware of and I guess they just don't G.A.S. (Give A S**T). That's too bad, because they could have a great product here with very little modification. If you're not capable or prepared to modify this livewell on you're own, you may want to look elsewhere, but be prepared to pay a lot more. The West Marine tanks are really nice but about 3-4 times the price.

Listed wrong it's not the round tank.
Sent back once. Listed wrong not the round tank. Didn't received the round tank as described. Give up just kept. Not what I needed.

Poor workmanship for $100 piece of plastic
Nice unit in general. A lot of money for a plastic container. I could live with the price if the workmanship were decent. Drain plug is defective and won’t stay in. I’ll have to find a replacement. Finger hole (notch) in cover does not even come close to lining up with the one in the tank. I modified it with a rotary rasp so I can get my finger in it now. And like others have noted, this thing really needs hinges on the cover.... otherwise I see it flying off while motoring down the lake. I added some hinges, not that hard except you need some stand-offs or shims as the cover is inset. The hinges are not a defect per-se, but it seems like most people find them necessary.

Arrived without hardware
Plastic thin. Inspector listed as "oven light tester?" Probably cost about $20-25 to manufacture container, lid, and box. Product okay if you don't mind doing "upgrades" yourself.

Requires additional parts and work to make it function
It is sitting on my dock unused. Bought as a present for my boyfriend. Spent adddtl $$ to adapt it to work, still cannot use. Unless you are very handy and know how to build the water circulation system, forget about it. Took a long time to get delivered.
