Very Good Boom Pole for most applications
Received the product and was pleasantly surprised at the workmanship. It has pads on the handle for easy gripping plus these pads minimise handling noise. It was mainly silver with white locks to extend each pole segment. The length is just right for indoor shoots and even for outdoor shoots which do not require longer length. With other boom poles you will need to wrap the cable around the pole to prevent it from dangling. This means u will end up having a shorter cable length to play with. This pole however eliminates this problem by having a groove in the middle supported by provided Velcro straps and a small plastic hook at the base. The pole itself is made of sturdy metal that feels solid and I doubt if it will get deformed with normal handling. Despite the sturdiness, it feels very light and will be easy to bring along in offsite shoots. The top of the pole has a standard mic screw where u can attach ur desired mic holder. In short, this is a pretty good boom pole and I highly recommend it

I do a lot of run and gun out side shoot were sometimes i can plug up my lav and someitmes I can so i get the boom out and it wo
now i iwish it was all black however it is very solid save for the plastic snaps however i had brought the sound stage boom pole twice literally twice and it did not work after you use it a bunch of times. I do a lot of run and gun out side shoot were sometimes i can plug up my lav and someitmes I can so i get the boom out and it works perfect for the price and it comes with the little velcro snaps to keep your line from going all over the place. This is a great quality boom . It has a solid metal feel to it as well. I would recomend to anyone. don't be fooled by the price thinking its not quality you will be surprise the quality of it.

Cheap but works!
This boom pole did what it had to do. Feels very cheaply made and it would definitely break given enough pressure to it, but if you take care of it, should last you a good amount of time. So far used it on one production that lasted 2 days, and had no problems. Especially like the fact it came with cable ties so that was a plus. Great starter boom pole or if you need something cheap and quick!

Cost Effective
I like that now I have my own boom pole I have projects that I want to work on in filming and the pole will greatly help me out in doing filming outside of a studio setting. The length is amazing, all I gotta do now is to buy a microphone for the pole. I also liked the price for the item, it was cost effective to me without putting a huge dent in my budget.

Its Ok
I didnt read the descritpion and thought the mic cable came with it so i was a bit disappointed with that and also the image made me believe the cable would run through the inside of the pole when in fact in goes on the outside held together by not so great straps. Aside from that its a decent pole. Not at the top of its line though. I would pay for it again though. I would probably pay $15 for the pole dont think its worth what i paid. But thats a personal opinion.

Great Boom
Fabulous boom. Ignore the one star reviews- this does not come with a mic. Nor does it come with a cord. I ordered a 10 foot cord to plug into my phone, and it works great.People neglect to read descriptions. The boom was sturdier than I thought it would be. It will feel heavier fully extended because of physics. Mine had black locks as opposed to the white.

Sad, sad excuse for a boom pole
Lots of reviewers seems to be confused on this, so let’s be clear: this is a pole only, it doesn’t come with a mic or a cable, nor does the mic cable route through the inside. I was under no illusion there, but man is this thing poorly made. They didn’t even care to put the logo sticker on straight. The only reason I bought it was it has to fit in a pelican case for an interview setup where it’ll be on a stand and won’t move. There are much better poles on here, for not much more money. This just happened to be the only one small enough to suit my purpose.Pro:-Very light weight-Extends to an acceptable length-Cushy hand grip (one of two, at least)-Uses lever locks and non-rotating sections, faster and easier to use than twist lockCon:-Cheap, cheap, cheap, flimsy materials. I suspect it would break with even light use.-Molded plastic end grip arrived already cracked-Forms a sad looking arc instead of a straight line when extended-Threaded piece on the end is loosely held onto the pole with a single rivet, despite there being two holes for that purpose. This means it can flop around and make a metal-on-metal noise.
