Excellent astronomy binoculars
These are excellent astronomy binoculars. They’ve become my go-to pair for any stargazing that requires a little magnification and light-gathering ability. I wear eyeglasses for extreme nearsightedness and these binoculars have great eye relief that makes viewing through them comfortable. Center focusing wheel is smooth with no backlash. Objective and lens covers are attached by a cord or strap so they’re handy to take on and off. These binoculars are solidly constructed but lightweight. I’ve compared them with others which are much heavier. These NatureDX give excellent performance and I haven’t noticed any optical defects or shortcomings. They give me reliably excellent views. I recommend these highly.

Exactly what binoculars should be, bright, crisp, comfortable.
I’ve been using Nikon Monarchs for years now (8x42) for hunting, and they spoiled me. My eyes refuse to look through junk lenses. When I wanted another set to enjoy birds in the backyard, I wanted something in 12 power and I didn’t want to break the bank. I tried several inexpensive but highly rated models on Amazon and found them to be what I would consider ‘toys’. When I found the Celestron 12x50 ED for far less than the comparable Nikon, i thought them worth a try. Celestron has a solid reputation For their telescopes and I was confident they know lenses. When I ordered, they we’re out of stock and expected in two weeks. To my surprise, they arrived from Amazon within a week.My first impression out of the box was that they felt like good quality equipment. I proceeded to the backyard with both the Celestron and my trusty Monarchs for a quick view and comparison. I was very pleased. The Celestron 12x50 ED’s were every bit as sharp and crisp as my more expensive monarchs (8x42), with good eye relief and smooth easy focus. Colors seemed slightly deeper through the Nikons (greens in particular), but it’s very close and could be due to the Celestron’s larger objective, where by a slightly brighter image may have drown some tint of deeper color to my perception, as later in the day I found that initial impression more difficult to verify.I found target acquisition slightly more difficult with the 12x magnification’s smaller field of view, but I expected that. If I could only have one pair, I’d stick with 8x for their versatility. On a tripod the 12x Celestron’s work beautifully for cellphone photography.I also plan to use these to stargaze via a tripod. I haven’t done that yet, but I have used them freehand. At 12x they are shakey as to be expected, but they do soak up some starlight. I expect them to provide some wonderful views when properly mounted.

Good Binoculars
12x50 Binoculars feel good in your hand. These are not any heavier then a pair of 25 year old Nikon 8x40’s. With the ED glass these compare well with the Nikon’s. All adjustments work fine. They can focus on objects that are very close. Long distance viewing is excellent. Adjusting to your pupil distance maybe challenging, if your eyes are close together. I had to remove the large lens covers to get the binoculars close enough together for my eyes. The large lens covers are attached with a stretch strap that goes around each barrel of the binoculars. They restrict the binoculars from closing all the way. I removed them because of this, and that they were also of poor quality. The small covers are poor quality as well. I will just slip them on and off when I use them, and not leave them hanging on the binoculars, Strap and case that comes with the binoculars is Ok but not great. With that being said about the accessories the 12x50 binoculars build quality is quite good. I will keep them and use them for deer spotting, birding and viewing nature. They will work excellent for these activities.I would recommend them.

All went Excellent on this Replacement Delivery...
This is a replacement Binoculars order (I chose: the Celestron DX ED 10x50mm) from Binoculars I had to send back (packing/item opened and damaged at warehouse, prior to shipping to Me).This Delivery went Exceptional (they All should go like this!). Item was Not prior Opened, all Brand New, Packaging/Product Box and Item (Packed as it should be, Secure) in Pristine Perfect condition. Tried-out new Binoculars (reviews are Excellent) and very Impressed. After doing a little research prior, it appears I did Make the correct Choice (very well Built, optics/lens are comparable to higher priced Binoculars, a Great Value!). Was possibly going to choose another Brand(s) (in popular 10x42) but since I would probably use Binoculars at Dawn/Dusk too, the 10x50 will allow more light, brighter image in low light conditions! Just Registered my new Product on Celestron site also. These are the Binoculars to Go With...Thanks,Thomas

Best bang for the buck 10x50!
These collect a ton of light, even at Dawn or dusk the image is bright. The image is very sharp with very little fringe.Good price for quality optics, unfortunately the build quality takes a small hit. The eye relief is glued on and if overworked will come off. The unit is heavy so consider using a shoulder harness instead of the included neck strap.
