TempPro TM01 Kitchen Timers for Cooking with Count Up Countdown Timer, Digital Timer for Kids Students with Touch Backlight, Study Timers for Classroom Teacher Supplies(Previously ThermoPro)

I bought two different timers off Amazon, both of which did not work. I was getting pretty frustrated, when I saw a Therm Pro brand timer. I have had a Therm Pro thermometer and humidity detector in my office, and it has worked great, for years. For that reason, I ordered this one. True to brand, this Therm Pro timer works great. Unlike normal lab/kitchen timers, it counts up beyond 99 minutes; it has an hour column so you can turn it on when you start working, press "start/stop" when you switch to a different job or task, or go to lunch or whatever, and then press the same button and it will start counting up from where you stopped. Easy to get a final count of your hours by the end of the day. I love that it is simple, but this might be a minus for some people-- if you are switching between billable hours at different jobs in the same day and need multiple channels, then you will need to buy more than one and use one for one job, one for another. At its reasonable price, this will not be a big problem for me if I need it. It's magnetic, so you can stick it to the side of filing cabinets or any metal surface that's within reaching distance of your workspace. It's simple, very readable with big numbers, and works well. Great freelance work timer.

Great Product. Very rare to find a timer that goes up to 99 hours. Works well timing up as well as counting down. Well lit if needed working or cooking in the dark. Timer is battery powered off of two AAA batteries which are included. Only complaint is that the timer cannot be turned off to save batteries until next time that it is needed. Had to simply remove batteries to accomplish this.

Unlike some other timers the TM01 is useable up to 99 hours (not minutes) while allowing settings in one second multiples. Magnets (two) are VERY strong-holds securely to appliances (e.g. refrigerators, stoves)--no sliding, movement or falling off. Ergonomics are excellent. The accompanying Owners Manual is not necessary but well written for anyone to understand). VERY sturdily constructed and the display is visible for several yards/meters. Adjustable volume is a welcome feature and is easy to adjust. Batteries are "AAA" very long lasting, easy to replace and readily available.

Great timer. Big text as shown. Easy to setup. magnets will hold to the side of the refrigerator well. I would avoid sticking it to the refrigerator doors if you have kids that slam the fridge as the impact will knock the timer loose.

Finally, this is the kitchen timer I've been looking for! I really like all its features and the thoughtful design Thermapro put into it. The alarm is loud to loud enough to really loud in the medium or high volume settings, but it also has off/low/medium/high volume settings you can control through a separate button on the back of the unit. The current volume setting is displayed in the large sized screen display on the front. The alarm sound keeps going without stopping, so it is hard to miss or ignore. After reaching zero, if you're late in shutting it off, the timer will keep running (counting up) to show you how far past zero it has run. It can also be used to count up from zero, like a stopwatch timer. The two rare earth magnets on the back make it hold well to our old style fridge, and because of thoughtful design, pushing its buttons doesn't make it fall, so ours lives mainly on the fridge. I also like the design of its fold-out leg for standing on the counter; it looks sturdy and durable. Buttons are intuitive and easy to understand. I really like the automatic orange backlit display that comes on when you push any button, or when you push the dedicated backlight button at the top center of the display. Finally, it also has a clock mode, so you can switch the display to show the current time. A great tool for our kitchen!

UPDATE 2: Been using the replacement timer the seller provided. WORKS GREAT! Been using it for two weeks now with no fade in brightness display. Love the timer. Good size, screen lights up when pushing buttons. Volume adjustment is good. Feels good in your hand, and magnets keep it where you put it. Doesn't beep when pushing buttons, but I can live with that. UPDATE . After my review I was contacted by the seller. The customer service was excellent and prompt. They sent me a new timer which I received yesterday. Hopefully it won't have the same issue. We use the timer several times a day. I've had to replace the batteries twice now after about a week. Also, it does NOT beep when you press buttons to set it. The screen brightness starts to fade after a couple days, and the timer is not very loud, both probably have to do with the dwindling battery power.

Excellent timer! Loud alarm!! Just what i wanted

I think I am searching for the ever elusive kitchen timer. This one caught my eye because of the large numbers and the backlight. Unfortunately it has fallen short of what I'd really like. There is no audible beep when you are setting the timer, which is a feature I'm used to. When the timer goes off and you've had the little stand out to support it upright and you push the STOP button, the timer falls over. Not really a very big deal, but a bit annoying. I do like the fact that it's also has a clock mode, and as I've said, I do like the backlit screen which stays lit for about 5 second after a button is pushed. It was easily set up, and came with its own batteries. The magnet seems to hold nicely as well. Easy functions to use. Nothing complicated about this timer. I'll keep it, but I am still on the hunt for the perfect kitchen timer!
